The 2022 stuff is tricky to me. That was a rush job.

If you’re looking at the guys he built a relationship with over years, two of the Top 10 picks in this draft (McMillan and Banks) were committed to Mario at Oregon when he left to Miami.

The 2022 class and the coaching staff Mario brought in that year is honestly enough to make you want to throw up

It’s really not surprise we are still trying to fix it
Could make an argument they did more damage to our roster than Manny…the offense alone

Here’s a ?…

If any of those players got drafted, who would get the credit? & pls just answer the ? w/o all the ifs, buts, ands, etc. Simple ? that requires a simple answer.
No it doesn’t work both ways. I wouldn’t give him credit. Mario had to piece together a class that ranked in the 80s when he took over. His process/timeframe was too compressed to really thoroughly vet the kids we signed in February. If he hit some cool if he missed cool. That was a mulligan class.

I think we need a CIS Summit so that we can go over the best ways to promote a narrative of having the best HC and best staff in the nation. We then swarm like hordes all over the internet- including rival boards- and just lay down the greatest propaganda of all time.

Who's on the bus?
The easiest way to accomplish that would actually be winning a Natty.

But alas...

I asked u a SIMPLE ?: so let me ask one more time:

If any of the members of the Class of 2022 were drafted, would u credit that as Mario’s class?

Is it wild how all those recruits and players he recruited to Oregon didn’t follow him to Miami, outside of guys like Cam McCormick?

He didnt try to bring em tried to play nice then turned down guys that went to fsu and ended up draft pick.

He brought two ol bums and mccormick smh

Miami is trying to climb a mountain. We arent recruiting like Texas, Ohio State, Georgia, Oregon now as we were basically a dormant program for 20 years. Bad coaches, very little support from the adminsitration, lackluster recruiting and development. Those programs are selling recent success, numerous first round picks, playing in HUGE games, titles. We have none of that to sell yet.

We are making progress still have a ways to go. Mario has flaws like most head coaches, but he is the right man right now for the job at Miami.

He has ties to the big money boosters for Miami. Once some of you knuckleheads realize this, you will understand that is how we are able to compete NIL wise as a top 10-12 NIL operation.

Unless you lure Nick Saban out of retirement, you aren't getting the financial backing Mario has.

Yes, I remember this well.
Flying the banners on a coaching staff dealing with the loss of 47 scholarships, not to mention the "Death Penalty" aura hanging over the program's head. To this day I scratch my head thinking of the dimwits who even argued that the loss of 47 scholies wasn't a thing.

2025 will be the real report card on Mario. Can he improve the defense and special teams enough to keep the program on the upside? Not sure.
