AP Pre-season-Top 15 coach having the worst year; Dabo, Manny or Mullen?

One coach is 33-13 in a far better conference , has a conference title game appearance, won double digit games , won a big bowl game , coached multiple heisman candidates in his career ( 1 winner) and won a natty as an assistant. He has more double digit winning season at Msu ( 1 ) than manny has at UM.

The other guy is 19-14 , playing in an awful conference , lost to Fiu and La Tech and was fired at his one other big job.

I’m not even writing out the other resume, it would be a waste and theres not enough space on here to fit his accomplishments.

So yeah , it’s obvious Manny is the winner smh.
Not this year.

Pre-season #3 Clemson came a down a way from having the same record as us; Pre-season #13 Gators have worse record than us who started #14.
Mullen.

He had the most legit roster.

It was well noted Clemson was smoke and mirrors thos season.

Manuela would find a way to lose 2 games with Bama's roster.

Yeah, uf and Miami have s**t the bed, but the answer is Dabo, and it’s not even close.
Definitely, I understand he lost quite a few offensive weapons, but to be as bad as they are is ridiculous.

Bama loses pieces every year and, although they are considerably down, they are not nearly as down as Clemson.

To say we **** the bed is an understatement. This season would have done wonders for momentum considering the landscape currently

By expectations Dabo is having the worst season.
But his resume allows him to have a bad year considering his past.
Mullen is who he is a 9-10 win team with 2-3 losses every year, sprinkling in one surprise win or close loss to a big team.
Manny was supposed to take a step forward this season with a veteran team and talented youngsters.
Two close losses and a bunch of close wins do not give anyone confidence going forward.

1. Manny
2. Mullen
3. Dabo
Fair evaluation. I do think Mullen seat is getting really hot and he might get fired this season. Manny may end up surviving this season so Mullen might end up #1

The most disappointing part is that without being any better on the field, this team could be 7-2 with 2 losses to top 5 teams (at least before MSU lost). We would know the team was deeply flawed, but from the outside it would look like we were the best team in the ACC. Not sure what any of that is worth, but it's crazy how bad I feel about the season and how close we are to being good (on paper).

Dabo is feeling that is it me or was it the luck of Watson into Lawrence? The current 1 is not looking like a true 1.

Clemson‘s run is/was predicated on a elite QB. Watson was, won a NC, Bryant wasn’t, lost CFP, Lawrence was won a NC, now DJ isn’t and Clemson is struggling. Their OL and RB recruiting hasn’t been good. Defense has been generally excellent, but can’t carry them to 14-10 wins every week. Something has to give.

Bama has maintained elite college OL and RBs during Saban’s run, not just QBs/WRs.

Mullen and especially Dabo have done something in their careers. Manny has shown nothing, so his crash is the most humiliating. He has nothing to hang his hat on.

Miami and Florida are in the critical care unit. Dabo just got his tonsils removed. You’re allowed a few losses when you’ve had his run.

I don't think the question is about total body of work. Just looking at this season - we knew Diaz was Diaz and Mullen was a weirdo so the fall from preseason standings isnt that shocking. Dabo has a 5 star QB (247 rating of .9949), yet his team was two yards away from being 4-5. Even if you want to say the QB was a bust, Clemson has been recruiting some of the best classes in the country the last few years. Oklahomas 5 star QB was a bust but they are so loaded it didn't hurt them at all. This much is a drop off just because he doesn't have Sunshine is tough to explain.

As for Mullen, he's supposed to be schematic genius. UF is collapsing.

Diaz got saved by TVD and now UM fans are panicking that it looks like we will win out and win the coastal. It might be a terrible division but UM is trending up while the others are definitely trending down.

In terms of who has fallen furthest from preseason ranking expectations , at this point in the season, I think it is clear

Dabo
(huge gap)
Mullen
Diaz

This is not an endorsement of Diaz, only an acknowledgment of the reality that those other two teams are much worse than anyone expected.

Exactly. Don't waste your time, Cribby. 15 years of mediocrity and we are sticking our chest out because some other schools are having down years...this fan base is idiotic. How about we fix our own house first before we start laughing at others' struggles. #fireblakeandmanny

Mullen sucks and his team quit on him. The question is who’s having a worse year, not career right?

You’re too busy obsessing over the length of my erection to even understand what the topic is.

Lighten up Francis.
Does manny suck?
