I’ve seen teams like VT getting ranked in preseason polls idc either way but I would not be surprised or object to us being ranked . We’ll find out soon enough if we deserve it

With that being said, I believe the "powers that be" would like for the "150 years celebration" kickoff game to a match up amongst ranked opponents. It just looks better for promoting/marketing/PR purposes.
