16 is a little over rated imo at this point. We need a win against a&m or Clemson. Do that and win the games we are supposed to on the schedule would make for a great year. The rankings will take care of itself.

Nothing dumber in sports than pre-season rankings. But, it generates hype, especially for week 1 games.

Everyone on NC state hype train this season. They have an experienced team, a lot of starters returning esepcially on defense, and a good qb. If they ever had a good year, this should be it. But I don't see them pulling it off.

Me saying that they’re ranked too high at 17 and “sleeping on them” is two different things

People say we are unproven. Look at them

Texas A&M at #6 is the 2nd highest preseason ranking for a team that finished the previous season unranked, in the history of the AP poll. They also started last season #6 and look how that turned out.

They love them some Jimbo, plus the recruiting hype etc.

If they don’t make it to Atlanta (and I fully don’t expect them to), then patience will start to run real thin in CS.

So you have to beat a top 5 team to be 16? I get what you’re saying, but I think around 16 is where we should be at the end of the season.
