Just watch the opening week of college football and see how good the SEC is. They may not win them all but they surely will win most of them.
The SEC is balls deep in you.
The AP poll argument is invalid. They have Louisville in #19 slot.
Louisville at #19 ? I feel like going on an Allen Iverson-esque "we talkin bout practice!?" rant.
Maybe the Cards shock the ACC and NCAA, but Im thinking the only thing #19 about that squad is Petrino still has 19 stitches left over from is motorcycle and intern girlfriend wreck.
Louisville at #19 ? Are we talking about Louisville at #19 , over #22 UNC?
Or at least thats what Iverson said...
The SEC has one down year and all you idiots starting pushing out your chest. They constantly put out the best core of teams and push out the most draft picks, yet you guys seem to think they are on the verge of collapse.
The NFL seems to think the best brand of football is played in the SEC. You Miami homers seem to be the only experts who believe otherwise.
Please tell me again how great the ACC Coastal is.
Dude, are you serious? Miami, FSU, Clemson, and ND are 4 of the top 10 colleges with the most players in the NFL. The SEC also has 4 of the top 10 with LSU, Bama, Georgia, and Florida. There is a comparable level of talent from both conferences.
First, ND isn't in the ACC. Please educate yourself.
Second, go back over the last ten years and the SEC, by a wide margin, has had the most NFL picks. Furthermore, SEC players across the board grade out higher in the NFL. Top to bottom nobody compares to that conference.
LOL at "sec players across the board grade out higher in the NFL." You've taken this SEC honk schtick to the ultimate level with that one.
Well that's actually true about the players coming from the SEC.

I just like watching good football. The ACC just doesn't get it done. But Miami fans have neve been able to grasp college football as a whole.
Espn has been hyping the Cards all off-season as the ACC's third best team. I have no idea why because I have no reason to follow them
No we grasp college football. We just toss out the bias. I've seen SEC teams have high scoring games while getting praised for great football while Big 12 gets criticized for terrible defense. Same happens in low scoring games. For the SEC it's just dominant defense but the rest of us just play ugly offense. Louisville will probably finish the season higher than 19. Petrino is an excellent HC, and this is the year he usually gets his teams into the 10 win area after he takes a job.
Don't understand the ND hype at all. They have 4 returning starts on offense and 3 on defense. Offense ice line has 3 players that are a sophomore or younger, at a position that takes time to develop. They just lost there star TE due to grades and now there best DB(redfield) is kicked off the team. Only thing they have going for them is there cupcake schedule.
I don't get the fear of ND either. They're replacing that WR that opened up their entire offense with his blazing speed too. That dude kept everyone honest.
I don't get the hype for FSU being a NC caliber team this year either. They've got a total unknown situation at QB. No way I'd ever pick a team to be in the NC game with such a huge question mark at the most important position.

I think the FSU hype comes from the fact that the last 5 national champions have had a first year starter at QB. They have recruited well, so people figure that they don't need a QB to win the game for them.

I'm just not buying it with FSU. They need a major force at QB to win big. They ain't Bama that can run Henry 45 times and then go over the top to Ridley in 1 on 1 coverage.
Of the 1st year starters you mentioned, 2 were transcendent players--Cam and Winston. Bama did it with a running game and D. Ohio State rode Jones for a 3 game run. Francois will have to be a special player for FSU to win or compete for a NC.

barrett was at OSU for most of that year too though - first year player and not really transcendent

Correct. Still not buying FSU based on that one example. OSU was playing lights out D at that point too, which is something FSU won't be doing under Kelly.

FSU was 10th in S&P defense last year, and wasn't expected to be that good. Return almost everybody.
OSU was 11th in S&P defense when they won it all. Bama was 1st last year.

More OOC wins? Have you seen their nonconference schedule yearly? Biggest joke in sports. More championships are easy when you were give a 50% shot by the BCS. Did you see the opponents that were lined up for SEC teams in the bowls last year? It was a joke. They learned their lesson when the SEC West got shut out the year behind. The SEC is an investment by ESPN and the powers that be protect them with all costs. How many SEC teams actually do home and homes with nonconference teams? No we grasp college football. No bias . The SEC is the dominant conference and has been for years now. More OOC wins ,More players in NFL, and plenty of Championships.
