Brian Monroe might not be invited back. Then, Randall Hill called in and was furious with this team. I hope WQAM makes Thrill's phone call available to hear.

There is something not right, internally, with this program. Brian insinuated the team is not focused. One of the current players was seen in New York last week during bye week and they kept calling it a "fall break". A caller called in and said he shook this said player's hand in New York. Brian said during bye week upperclassmen would not have permitted players to leave campus. Swaysey would have had them in the weight room and upperclassmen would have had them practicing. Danny R. tried to make excuse that times had changed, he (Danny) is not concerned with what players do during their bye week, social media, etc. Then, Thrill called and said what Brian was saying and much much more.

I am wondering if our next coach hire should be Mark Stoops? He has KY competing for SEC east.

All I know is something is not right with this program. A program should not regress. Am Richt's age and am wondering if he has the energy and desire to be a head coach. I wouldn't now at this age; maybe 15 years ago I would. Is it player development? Recruiting? How does Alabama continue year after year?

Am ****ed, just venting.

Hire an OC with a competent qb and a lot get fixed. Kids having a few days off in a bye week is nothing new.

When the program was elite, even with days off, they stayed on campus. Allegedly, this team is not as focused and dedicated as they should be.

Who cares if they take a few days off, they stayed on campus back then because airline tickets were high to beat! This lose is all about the lack of play calling and having an ineffective Qb running the team. We have a ****** Qb coach, special teams coach and oc. Richt fix that with the talent we have it’s not even a conversation.

We heard all week how well the offense practiced. From what we saw last night that was not a product of offensive focus and execution. That was likely a product of the defense mailing it in.

Last week the entire school had fall break and no classes Thursday and Friday which just happened to coincide with our bye. Normally we’d have a game during our fall break but under swasey we were allowed to leave during bye weeks after a friday morning lift.

It literally was “fall break” last week so that may be why they called it that.

This.

And by the way, A.P., what’s your take on this whole mess??

Our intramural team never practiced during fall break, and we still won the title for Mahoney-Pearson.

Honestly, I really shouldn't care about a college football game. Lots more important things to be concerned about that 18 to 21 year old college students playing a game. My issue is, I HATE TO LOSE AT ANYTHING! Need some time to self reflect. :abnormal::youre-nuts::noidea:

Got a lot of thoughts, might try to get on the podcast this week. But in summation the current playcalling/offensive system isn’t working and needs a change. And a lot of guys look like they’re going through the motions.

This is what I don't get "And a lot of guys look like they’re going through the motions."[/QUOTE]
Shouldn't players take it upon themselves to improve? Extra time in weight room, extra time running routes with qb, extra time kicking/punting without coaches supervision. Or, is this not permitted? Maybe the rules have changed?

You can do as much as you want without the coaches around. One thing that really stood out to me was the receivers not getting correct depth on many routes. A lot of 2 yard slant routes and that’s not how we teach them at all.

Maybe they realized anything longer than 2 yards and Rosier doesn’t have the arm for it.

This has little to do with a player being in New York for a couple days and everything to do with a broken system that has the players feeling hopeless and helpless.

After a bye week, we went out there and laid down with the exception of a few guys. The defense was jogging around in the first quarter looking clueless. The offense was shackled and pathetic as Rick went into a shell and gave up.
