Anyone listen to postgame show last night?

Got a lot of thoughts, might try to get on the podcast this week. But in summation the current playcalling/offensive system isn’t working and needs a change. And a lot of guys look like they’re going through the motions.

This has nothing to do with the players, this is the crap we started to hear under Golden’s time, blame the players. This is on richt and his development of a Qb and the play calling. Did bc run any play twice, we knew what we were going to run every time. That wildcat the second time, really

This has little to do with a player being in New York for a couple days and everything to do with a broken system that has the players feeling hopeless and helpless.

After a bye week, we went out there and laid down with the exception of a few guys. The defense was jogging around in the first quarter looking clueless. The offense was shackled and pathetic as Rick went into a shell and gave up.

12 seconds left before half and you have a timeout, yet we let the clock run. Really no let throw a Hail Mary.

Shouldn't players take it upon themselves to improve? Extra time in weight room, extra time running routes with qb, extra time kicking/punting without coaches supervision. Or, is this not permitted? Maybe the rules have changed?
You can do as much as you want without the coaches around. One thing that really stood out to me was the receivers not getting correct depth on many routes. A lot of 2 yard slant routes and that’s not how we teach them at all.[/QUOTE]

Do you think it has anything to do with who’s at Qb?

When the program was elite, even with days off, they stayed on campus. Allegedly, this team is not as focused and dedicated as they should be.

Maybe it’s hard to be so focused on football when you know your own Head Coach is the kryptonite of the team and you’re likely to lose no matter how hard you practice because he gameplans to lose with the 6 predictable plays he calls all game, every game

I listened for 15 minutes and then went to bed. This is torture.

For the past 8 years we’ve had the 2nd or 3rd best roster in conference and one of the top 10 rosters in the country and haven’t had a coach that knew how to use the players.

You're totally wrong about having the best football foster in either the conference or the country the past six or eight years! Now Miami MAY have had the 3rd or 4th best conference football roster lately, but they NEVER had one of the " Top 10 " football rosters lately! More like the Top 25 football rosters in the country the past six or eight years. OUCH.

Yeah, it's was evident in the first-quarter which team was PREPARED and TUNED IN to win the football game. Miami's defense came out LISTLESS and unemotional and what not. Once Miami was behind by two touchdowns it was only a matter of when the game clock tick-tocked 00:00. Yikes.

When a High School coach tells you (after the LSU game): “If Malik were my quarterback, at THE HIGH SCHOOL level, I wouldn’t let him throw crosses and slants because as a coach, I have responsibility to not subject my kids (wide receivers) to serious head and neck injuries. It’s amazing that Miami went all of last season without getting a head knocked off.”

After hearing that and seeing these dead duck throws, it’s hard to blame the kids for cutting their routes short. Simply should not being seeing those throws at the college level

Franchise, this is so upsetting it has hit the roots of my Cane.
We’ve opened our minds uninhabited and took it all in innocently submitting to the program and it’s management top to bottom in everything.

It’s like being violated , I / we can fall victim again as we move forward in this repair process.

Moving forward we all must verify then trust , you forgive but not forget.

A ? will now be placed in anything this program does , a cooling off period to be implemented before I sip any Koolaide again.

I do this in politics, I do this in dealing with contractors in my daily work now I add my home town team football team the Canes to this list , sad day for me.

I hate this feeling now stress is added a fun thing I’ve done for 45 years.

I don’t like the submissive play
I don’t like the lack of focus
I don’t like the lack of effort
I don’t like the submissive play calling
I don’t like the oh well attitudes

These are just of the few ANTI CANE things I’ve witnessed.

We have an infestation here , the cure is very painful and recovery is years to purge AGAIN.

This one CUT us all a very SHARP BLADE was used .

Anyway I’m rattling now very upsetting

VERY.

I can’t put GOCANES as my signature to my post , I need a breather

Brian Monroe might not be invited back. Then, Randall Hill called in and was furious with this team. I hope WQAM makes Thrill's phone call available to hear.

There is something not right, internally, with this program. Brian insinuated the team is not focused. One of the current players was seen in New York last week during bye week and they kept calling it a "fall break". A caller called in and said he shook this said player's hand in New York. Brian said during bye week upperclassmen would not have permitted players to leave campus. Swaysey would have had them in the weight room and upperclassmen would have had them practicing. Danny R. tried to make excuse that times had changed, he (Danny) is not concerned with what players do during their bye week, social media, etc. Then, Thrill called and said what Brian was saying and much much more.

I am wondering if our next coach hire should be Mark Stoops? He has KY competing for SEC east.

All I know is something is not right with this program. A program should not regress. Am Richt's age and am wondering if he has the energy and desire to be a head coach. I wouldn't now at this age; maybe 15 years ago I would. Is it player development? Recruiting? How does Alabama continue year after year?

Am ****ed, just venting.
Alabama has changed with the times.
We have gone back in time..

Idk but it appears to me that this team has no passion, urgency, will to be better and just soft on ALL fronts.
Watch the big boys, they don’t take plays off. If the QB is fugn up the LEADERS bring him back in and the same with any other positions.
We have a bunch of individuals who don’t know they are on a team.
Soft individuals at that

I been thinking since the end of last season that Richt's staff doesn't work this team enough. he's always talking about execution, well PRACTICE makes perfect. I made a big deal about them NOT using all of their allotted practice days for the Bowl and got hit with "He's been coaching for 30 years, he knows what he's doing..." this was after we had just lost 2 straight games and looked terrible. of course he went on to lose the bowl game.

also, it's pretty clear that there aren't those old school type of leaders on the team. don't know who to fault for that really. ideally you'd want your qb to be a guy that wants to work with his WRs all the time, but Malik isn't that guy. and Kosi Clearly isn't either.

as for the player in ny. it was probably willis he's talking about. he was visiting his brother

And sophomore. Then went to the awful apartments where the basketball arena is now. Then lived in Kendall.

I see. When I was there all the freshman stayed in Hecht or Stanford. Then Eaton and Mahoney was for upper classman only. They have the new on campus apartments right behind frat row for upperclassmen too. However, my freshman year they had overbooked Hecht/stanford so some of the transfer freshman ended up living in Eaton and some even ended up getting dorms at the Holiday Inn across Us1.

Yeah I don't know when they changed that, but Eaton was the only one that seemed to be for upperclassmen. The towers and M-P each had tons of freshmen.

I am not sure either. This was back in 2010 so it may have changed again with the new dorms they are building on campus.
