Anyone hear anything on Ryan Williams

All accounts I've heard is they hope he may be back for Nebraska. You never know though, hopefully one of the young QB's take the wheel and run with it though.

I don't see why he can't be back for the start of the season.

I mean seriously, who needs knee ligaments to play QB?

/sarcasm off

I think Golden is being unfair by making us all think that this kid is on the road to playing in 2014. It's unfair to Ryan, it's unfair to the team, it's unfair to the fans.

Yeah, a good corch wouldn't give a loyal senior who quietly waited his turn any hope that he can realize his dream of being the U's starting quarterback

I think Golden is being a complete idiot (imagine that) by making us all think that this kid is on the road to playing in 2014. It's unfair to Ryan, it's unfair to the team, it's unfair to the fans. Just shut the **** up Godlens.

Whats wrong with him being hopeful? I think there is a decent chance he's able to play this season ... its certainly not out of the question.

The normal recovery time for that type of injury is 4-6 weeks. It's the mental aspects that can take up to ten months, if ever.

He may never plant that foot again.

i wouldn't mind olsen getting a shot to start because if ryan williams couldn't beat out stephen morris who was horrible last year, he can't be that great.

Couldn't you say the same about Olsen and Williams? Olsen wasn't going to beat Williams for the job this year.

2+2=9. Flawless logic.

Not sure if you're serious, but loyalty doesn't equate to anything in college football. Give me the best QB, whether it's RW, Olsen or Kaaya.

Well, not serious in the sense you mean it. But what is Golden supposed to say to RW? You're done, give up, there's no hope that you can come back and play? Not sure how Golden is being unfair to ryan williams, the team, or the fans, as went the quote I was replying to. I think that's the silliness there.

The bigger question is whether Golden will do what is best for the team long term if Williams is able to play but is not the best option. Will empathy trump expediency?

So, assuming Williams is available, if Golden decides Williams is not the best option, you think he might decide to play him over the guy he considers the best option?

You really can't believe that.
