Anyone hear anything on Ryan Williams

The wise thing to do would be to apply for a 6th year and let him compete with Olsen, Kaaya, Crow and Rosier in 2015.

Since when has this staff ever done the wise thing? The day's he's cleared for practice is the day he gets the starting job back.

Normal recovery time for an ACL, 4-6 weeks? You clearly have no clue what you are talking about. The mental part is one thing, the physical is 8-10 months even with modern surgical techniques. :noidea:

The normal recovery time for that type of injury is 4-6 weeks. It's the mental aspects that can take up to ten months, if ever.

He may never plant that foot again.

You could not be more incorrect. ACL surgery takes 4-6 weeks until the player can returned to actions on the field. Williams has nothing to loose. If he is ready then Godlen should allow him to suit up and play in the first games.

4-6 weeks? you are right. you can start some physical activity at 4-6 weeks, like fast walking and jogging, but he's not playing football in 4-6 weeks.

Ive had 2 acl surgeries and you can't do much in 4-6 weeks. These days you might be able to play football in 6 months but you're half the player you were prior to the injury, much like Lewis last year.

I would think much of that is dependent on the position and skillset of the player in question.

RW was never a mobile QB, his biggest difficulty will be that it was his 'plant' knee that was injured however, so your argument definitely still has some validity in this circumstance.
