Anyone else unimpressed with the Clemson offense?

Their Oline isn't great and their kicking game is terrible.

You don't lose a player like Watson and not take some sort of step back, but don't take any aspect of them lightly.

They will be the best coached, most talented team we have played since the Clemson team that ended Al Golden's HC career permanently.

They're the defending national champions.

Clemson is similar to Notre Dame. Mobile quarterback that can throw a lil bit with an above average defense. Clemson is a better version of Notre Dame and just like Notre Dame, they will get stomped by Miami....bet.

Nonsense. Clemson is NOTHING like ND. I'm married to a Clemson fan. I'm completely sick of the Tiggers, but I love college football and I love my wife. I watch almost every minute of every game they play that's not at the same time as Miami is playing. Their best comp that most Canes fans will be familiar with is that they are very similar to VT, as I mentioned before, but MUCH better and have been doing it with the current coaching staff and playing at an elite level for years now.

Don't underestimate Kelly Bryant. Dude has been playing injured (not hurt) most of the year. If you really want to see what Clemson is on D, watch the Auburn game and the VT games. Check out Kelly Bryant in the VT game where they completely dominated Tech on the road.

They are a MUCH better team than anyone we've played this year so far. Underestimate them at your own risk, but to do so is honestly stupid.

We are the better team, in my opinion, and I expect us to win the game. I won't even say we CAN'T blow them out, but the chances of that are not super high.

Let's beat ****** and worry about the rest later.

Yeah because I’m sure they will come out with the same lack of intensity and focus for a chance to play in the College Football Playoffs for the 3rd year in a row as they did a road game in October on a Friday night.

Did you even watch that game? That simply is not the case. They completely weren't focused. They committed criminal malpractice in my opinion by even playing Kelly Bryant in that game, and they made dumb mistake after dumb mistake and still came close to beating Sarahcuse on the road on Thursday night while we struggled to knock them off at home.

We should be ranked ahead of them, and we should expect to beat them, but this narrative that they aren't in our league is complete nonsense, at least until proven otherwise.

Passing game is bad outsid of screens, none of their running backs are good outside of the freshman Travis etienne who has elite speed. Oline isn’t that good. As much as their defense has been talked up they haven’t been THAT good this year, they can be had especially in the db group where their depth legit might be worse than our rb depth. South Carolina is going to do Miami a big FAVOR. hUh. In other words, South Carolina is going to SOFTEN UP mighty Clemson and what not. Oh, and one more thing. Yeah, it was tight to the end. Almost. FSU gave them all they had. Tiggers played sloppy. Then it got opened by FSU just not keepin up. Tight game that looked good in the box score for Clemson.

Not impressed. And they have not faced a defense like ours since Auburn. (And they only scored 14 on them at home.)

We can beat them, but we can't make too many mistakes or we won't.

Offensively, you let them get to the second level with a couple of guys and they're gone. Offensively, we're basically playing our starting DL and we'll need to keep drives alive to wear them down. They don't have the depth we do here.

Shut down the qb runs and the running game and I think we beat the **** out of them too if we play like we did vs ND.

Only disadvantage I see is going to be the cold weather.

Clemson is a bigger threat IMO than anyone else in the country. Their QB is a lot more elusive than Bama's QB and their Defensive front is top 5... but so is ours... if we play like we did Saturday then we would give the SEC All Star Team a fit.. But Clemson's QB will need to be put and kept in check

but.. to answer your question, yes they are above average at best, they have 20 less plays of 20 yards or more than they did at this point last season, no home run threat

I think it will come to big plays. We have proven time and time again the we can make big plays down field on offense and limit them on defense.

Clemson seems to get big plays with their running game or with short pases with broken tackles. I don't think they can beat us like that. They need to be more consistent throwing the ball down field.
