Anyone else unimpressed with the Clemson offense?

The spread opened at -5 Clemson. ESPN FPI is giving us a 30% shot to beat them

Their only threat to score is on the ground.

Shut down the qb runs and the running game and I think we beat the **** out of them too if we play like we did vs ND.

Only disadvantage I see is going to be the cold weather.

people on here are gonna give you crap for talking about clemson three weeks out


but.. to answer your question, yes they are above average at best, they have 20 less plays of 20 yards or more than they did at this point last season, no home run threat

They’re more VT than ND philosophically...but yea, same thing BUT they have athletes on the outside.
 
am I crazy for thinking USCe may beat Clemson this year?


it's been years since they have, and USCe is at least decent this year (beat NC state)

clemson doesn't seem like they can score at will on people anymore, if it's close Clemson may drop that game

it sucks a fat one that clemson gets to play a cupcake this weekend.

they are practicing for miami this week book it.

so they are getting an extra week to prepare for the ACC championship than we do.

Good team with good coaches

Having said that I think we can beat them the same way we beat ND shut down the run and make Bryant beat us with his arm and only his arm

If he can do that tip your cap that he was able to beat our corners who have been studs all season

best practice is live game. I would rather play competitive team like UVA and keep team focused and getting hit and challenged late in the season rather than going up against a cupcake and then asked to turn it back on when USCe and Miami roll into town
 
Their offense isn’t what scares me. They have athletes on the perimeter but nothing we can’t handle. It’s their front 7 that will give us fits.

Yeah except Clemson doesn’t have a big stiff slow RB who will be asked to succeed on slow developing run plays running east and west. They have superb athletes at RB and run quick hitting plays to attack us quickly before we can get downhill. Their QB isn’t that impressive though, so hopefully we can force him to have to toss it more than they want him to.

Expect bubble screens for days. We have the best blocking receivers in the country and they have receivers playing corner.
 
haven't seen enough to know. I want to watch some of their highlights film on youtube.
