Anyone else feel RJ and Norton didn't show up?

They didn’t. RJ literally did nothing.

I know people go pro for many reasons....but I think we’d all be bothered if they left after laying an egg and losing their last game. It’d be different if they were guaranteed first or second round picks.
These dudes are most likely third day picks.

Only lineman that did anything was chad Thomas and Trent Harris(his impact would have been even greater if not for the obvious holding calls$

Does wisconsin have some super stud guard that shut down McIntosh? Him disappearing was odd considering that he lived in the opposing backfield EVERY game this year regardless of opponent. He was invisible last night.

The Dt have disappeared quite a bit this year , totally overrated imo. They had some good moments against VT and ND but had a lot of meh moments too.

It's laughable that after 3 seasons in college these guys think they're ready to play in the NFL. They aren't running backs or wide receivers, they're defensive tackles. Clearly both should come back to gain more strength and develop better technique, but we'll see what happens.

I don't know man...they played ok I think. Wisconsin running game didn't overwhelm us.
That's some big boys they were fighting and they were fighting in there. You can say it would of been great to get more pressure from the DT but **** man they run the ball really well it takes a toll. I just can't say they didn't show up and got embarrassed. That's not how I saw it.

Norton and McIntosh got shut down by Wiscy's o-line. Same thing happened against Clemson as well. They didn't do too well (I think Norton) against Notre Dame either against their guard that's slated to go in the top half of the 1st round either.

This is why it's laughable that people probably are in their ears about going pro.

Ohio State's DL versus our DL. I love Miami's talent, but if you watched the Ohio State v. Wisconsin and Ohio State v. USC game, you can see the difference between the two units. OSU's DL changed the outcome of each game. The interior pressure they provide fvcks up what they are doing on offense.

That didn't happen last night. The only DL that really showed out were Chad Thomas and Trent Harris to a lesser extent...the outside pressure is nice, but its interior pressure that dictates games where trench matchups are important...like ones against Wisconsin where you need to disrupt the runs in the 1, 2, 3, and 4 holes and you need to squeeze the time in the pocket a QB like Hornibrook has.

There was a shot taken from the end zone behind our d line. Right befor the play both lines were standing up. You would expect our d line to be slightly bigger since it’s closer to the camera but I looked at my wife and said that o-line is huge no wonder they run the ball so well.

they get winded, theres not depth there if RJ goes out we in panic mode. Kid plays all the snaps and most dts dont do that nowadays so I expect him to not be dominant every game. Kid is always on the field

They did fine. Held them to average rushing yards. Freed up the ends to do damage. DTs not always busting through a line for sacks. Their number one job last night was stop the run and they did for the most part.

RJ got triple teamed the whole game, we have to recruit that pos better to take that next step

I don't understand why people can't grasp this.....
You start off 10-0 and fans can't see straight, people calling our secondary elite, our DTs are 2nd and 3rd round picks right now, and Malik is the man. We aren't there yet, plain and simple, that has always been the case. IF Norton and RJ come back next year and if Perry emerges, I think we can make some real noise, but even then, this isn't what a championship Miami team is supposed to look like YET. We had a very good class in 2017 and right now have an elite class but need to close strong, and will need one in 2019, then we can start to look like a real Miami team.

Games like this used to be the reason players came back. Unfinished business. I'm all for guys going and getting paid but for 5th round money? We'll see whats important to them
