Any word on the pope injury?...

I'll tell you from experience that the foot has just as much potential for lingering injuries as the ankle. I partially tore a ligament in my left foot (w/ a bone bruise) while playing basketball 5 years ago and it's never been the same since, these lisfranc injuries are no joke; hopefully he rehabs it thoroughly and comes back at 100%.
I wonder if there is a dearth of good orthopedic surgeons with specialty in foot. Or are general orthopedic surgeons doing the more involved foot surgeries like lisfranc. There were two leading foot centers with substantial fellowship programs in Baltimore. The head guy at Union Hospital moved over to the institute at Mercy. The head guy at Mercy, Mark Myerson retired. He was the guy who did Terrell Owens and told him to stay out of Super Bowl.

Still, I don't know if there are many around who did specialized foot training. Maybe podiatrists are now trained in advanced and complex foot surgery.

I wouldn't want a general sports medicine guy doing a lisfranc on me.
