Any early news on Frank Ladson?

Not to mention, it's just bogus. Go back and look at his catches.. How many were amazing body adjustment or big catches when he was actually covered? His big plays were rarely wide open. That doesn't say "system" to me..

Rambo only playing on Van Dyke's right side all season was a bit odd.

Based on HS tape, I give the edge to Brinson and George. Not sure anyone else though.

Rambo was more than 4th/5th string at OU lol. He got passed up. But I wouldn't call his bio from UM's official website thin by any means: "Finished career with Sooners with 76 catches, 1,180 receiving yards and nine receiving touchdowns…Played in 2019 and 2020 College Football Playoff…Had best season of career in 2019, finishing with 43 catches, 743 yards and five touchdown receptions". If he had stayed, he would still have seen a lot of snaps.

IIRC, the reason he got passed up wasn't talent, but he was inconsistent in his routes and with his hands. Same problem lots of our guys have experienced. Even at Miami, he struggled in the Spring and didn't really get unleashed until TVD went on his tear.

Net/net, kid is going to be very hard to replace. Probably more committee in the first few games of the season at least, until someone emerges. But we have talented WRs, a potentially transformational QB and a top notch play caller. They'll be in a position to showcase their talents.

Rambo was going to get minimal snaps during his final year at Oklahoma, hence why he transferred. If you notice, he lined up on the right side of the ball every time. Rambo wasn’t some superstar wr. He was a subject to a great offensive scheme and the best qb this program has had since Dorsey. There is a reason Rambo was an undrafted free agent

Also Rambo graduated in 2017. All the 2021’s were graduating middle school when he enrolled at Oklahoma. He had significantly more experience than everyone.

There is so much unknown at WR but a bunch of guys with a lot of talent. IMO, one of Brinson, Smith or George are gonna break out big time this year to go along with Strep and the TE group. I’ll go with Smith having a combined 700 in total offense
 
He was no loss "losing" him to Clemson.

Not sure our Canes "won" with him joining via the portal.

Hope he does great for us but we knew exactly what he was being an upperclassmen at Clemson with sunshine for two years

I'm sure he is a fine young man and I wish him success in life.

As a Clemson/Miami player, he's a JAG, and that is being kind. He added nothing than spot filler to both teams.

Hopwfully he changes that reality starting tonight.
