Any chance next year

It did outweigh that. The kid was a statue in the pocket. Kaaya with the oline we have now is an all American candidate. But CMR didn't push him out at all. You guys just all refused to be realistic when it related to the play calling and the state of our offense. You can't call the same plays for a non mobile pocket QB with no oline play that you call for a mobile QB with no oline play. There was a reason why all we ran was rpo and bubble screens with a sporadic deep shot to keep a defense semi curious. Some of guys really have the wrong ideas when it relates to CMR. A serious discussion needs to be had that him coming to the university was one of the more pivotal moments in the HISTORY of the university. Without him we don't start down any of this path we're currently on. I get it, the end results weren't where we wanted things to be. All I'm gonna say on that is father time doesn't lose too many battles.
You guys? I’m not the one who believes he was completely forced out by Richt and that coaching staff. That’s why I was using air quotes around the word forced when I was responding to the poster who claimed he was forced out by Richt.

There has been a common misconception or theory that Kaaya was “forced” out. I’ve heard that since he declared for draft. Now, while I thought Kaaya’s decision was more about him, I do realize he may not have seen eye to eye with Richt. I wasn’t sure one way or another that the coaching staff may have played a part in Kaaya leaving early. I had never heard anything contrary to that speculation, so it seemed somewhat believable. You are one of the first I have heard to refute the theory that Kaaya was forced out, and I believe that 100%

Yes, Kaaya was the slowest and most immobile qb I have ever seen play qb. He sometimes would take a sack just by feeling pressure or by barely being grazed by the pass rusher. He had over -100 yards every season. He was just tragic in big time games where we we needed him to come up clutch in the final drive. Don’t think he ever led us to a come from behind victory.

We are on the same page when it comes to Kaaya. I don’t think he’s the bad *** MF some make him out to be. Very good arm, especially for the college level. Smart kid, good arm, but not much else.

The rush as you call it is for the guys who actually have that level of talent we're all aware we're playing on a clock. You can be hurt and have your career and your livelihood taken away from you at any given minute. So should you consider staying in school when you have that reassurance that you'll be drafted high and take one more year and a million, 2 million whatever or should you go get that gaurenteed first round money multi year & far more importantly fulfill what in most cases is a life long dream that's more than money for most... Not really too hard of a decision.
If you are guaranteed I totally agree, but that hasn’t been the recent history around here. GR15 was a mutant, Bain isn’t that, for example. Arroyo was that level of freak athlete, he got the injury tag and still went 2nd round.
The 5th round and under club is horse****! There is no guarantee that they even make the team.
Leonard Taylor, “extreme example” stays for senior year, takes it seriously, gets really nice nil, purchases the insurance because he’s believed to be a high round guy, has an excellent senior year, isn’t undrafted. I understand LT is an extreme case but it could have been true for him and all of the other past and present jumpers.

I believe it was injury not regression. A hamstring injury is tough to play thru especially in the middle of a season I think his demise is a bit over exaggerated honestly he’s a chess piece who can do both play 3t on 3rd and long and stay outside which isn’t bad for us at all or him and the league should value him for how disruptive he is and the production if healthy this year will match I think we have multiple pass rushers this year who will make people pay for doubling Bain and our secondary finally isn’t going to be picked apart I hope by 3 step drops which contributed to our dline being null in void as well.
I Can't speak for anyone but myself. I'd agree it was MAINLY due to injury & what we asked of him didn't help either. When you understand someone's strengths you gotta put them in the best possible situation to succeed. All that said, he regressed as well. His hands and his technique got sloppy and his play fell off as a result because opposing teams game planned for him and Baron. Really hurt Barons game.

It's an extreme though. Obviously nothing is a given. All you can get is feedback and go from there. In the not so recent past we had kids that were being seriously misled. (whether its by a group of shady mma enthusiasts or anyone else)But since Zo stepped in and introduced us to a different network and what that process should look like from a school perspective, there's been a lot less of that going on.

Do you think he didn’t believe in the scheme and he wasn’t trusting the back end as much would caused him to not be as dedicated to his technique and playing thru injuries causes different people to try to avoid re injury

Tyler I think definitely was freelancing a bit on run plays and a bit frustrated with our constant pension to twist I think he completely disregarded technique because he didn’t believe in the defense as a whole from the back 7 to the coaching

Assuming we have a very successful season (playoff berth) this year and also assuming good health and production, is there any chance that Bain or Cici would come back in 26? If not, I think there’s a chance we could have 3 first rounders in next years draft.

I’m assuming both would be gone.

Bain is 3-4 rounder. He will probably leave.

Nah. You're reading too far into that. When people play hurt it's natural for technique to break down. Just think of an average person. When you have back pain the way you walk changes up. If you sprain an ankle you shift your weight etc. Simply the body's way of helping. But in sports technique is perfection. It's memory. It's exact. When that breaks down, **** gets batty.
