Any chance Mike Rumph comes on as DB coach?

He doesn't even have ties. **** no. Didn't even think he was qualified for American heritage. He did a good job with that program...if he wants he needs to do like every one else and get an entry level gig somewhere or be a ga here

Ouch Baby.... very ouch... OP's been on the board for 3 weeks and I think this is his first thread... and his plus to neg ratio is not in a happy place right now.

Note to OP: The Negs are because we've been subject to no budget for coaching hires under the previous administration and Folden hired a bunch of high school corches who can't coach a lick at the appropriate level for this program yet we were told that they were needed to maintain our recruiting lifeline locally. The last thing the majority of us wants is another "well connected" high school corch on this staff.

Quite frankly, when you hire them it often hurts you locally because of the jealousy from their former peers, as I have read it. It's just a bad business model.

Exactly. Not to mention we were all sold this phony bill of goods that insinuated that if we just loaded up Hecht with hometown heroes on staff and "played the game" that Coral Gables even under Golden's inept watch would be flooded with all the local talent. How'd that end up working out?

no shot. no offense to mike rumph. the canes will hire raymond, willie martinez or another experianced db coach. hartley may do dbs and special teams even. not gonna hire rumph. looks like richt is making all experianced hires so far. even if thomas brown is just 4 yrs in college at least its college experiance.

If Golden's coaching staff had Alabama's talent on their roster, they would have squandered it.

I swear, listening to CS live and reading boards you'd think South Fla is the only place in the world where football coaches reside

LOL Everytime I listened to CS live I feel like pulling my eyeballs out. Some of the dumbest phone calls I've ever heard.

Looking back at the reaction of the board to this thread, I can say that Mark Richt doesn't read this board nor he cares what this board thinks.
And I'm as happy as can be about that.

HAHA...the know-it-all morons were out in full force on the first page of this thread. Not that any of them had any credibility left. Can't wait for mor e"no chance" predictions....LOL, know-nothings.

LOLOL another thread in which now that he's been hired, our fans have no decided he's great, where previously they hated the idea.

Between this and the Diaz thread you could win a Nobel Prize in psychology if you presented this as evidence of human bias.

When the guy isn't hired for the new staff, they look at him objectively. In both cases they thought Rumph and Diaz were terrible ideas. In the case of Diaz, not a SINGLE POSTER thought it was a good idea.

As SOON as they get hired, their evaluation of the man changes. B/C their former unbiased opinion no longer fits the narrative that they are dreaming for which is a Miami return to glory, so they dig their heels in and have determined these corches are now great.

This defense staph is really, reeeeally weak.

LMAO, this thread was full of potatoes. I guess CMR showed everyone here who calls the shots.

I like much more as CB coach than DB coach. Important that someone else(Banda) focuses on safeties. I think that should be taken into consideration while looking through this thread.
