Any chance Mike Rumph comes on as DB coach?

He seems to have a good relationship with CMR. I know some will say we don't need anymore highschool coaches but I think Rumph would do better than Ice having actually played major college football & the NFL.

I swear, listening to CS live and reading boards you'd think South Fla is the only place in the world where football coaches reside

Need to get one of Willie Martinez, Corey Raymond, Lorenzo Ward, or Derrick Ansley to coach DB's. Proven coaches, not HS coaches with "recruiting ties". Miami recruits its self if you can win.

We're hiring big boy coaches for once and people still want these high school first timers who lobbied for an FIU failure. This site delivers.

I'm as big a South Florida apologist as you'll find but I can't wait until Richt wins here with a staff in which the only coach with local ties is him. The notion of a high school coach jumping straight from Traz Powell or Lockhart to his staff needs to become something we all freakin laugh at.

Ouch Baby.... very ouch... OP's been on the board for 3 weeks and I think this is his first thread... and his plus to neg ratio is not in a happy place right now.

Note to OP: The Negs are because we've been subject to no budget for coaching hires under the previous administration and Folden hired a bunch of high school corches who can't coach a lick at the appropriate level for this program yet we were told that they were needed to maintain our recruiting lifeline locally. The last thing the majority of us wants is another "well connected" high school corch on this staff.

Quite frankly, when you hire them it often hurts you locally because of the jealousy from their former peers, as I have read it. It's just a bad business model.
