Antonio Brown cut by the Pats!

Per ESPN radio (FWIW), AB threatened one of his accusers in a group text conversation. In the texts, he told his people to ‘go after her’. He sent a text with a picture of the woman’s children.

AB has serious mental health problems.

Also per ESPN, his $9M guarantee signing bonus was split into two payments, $5M due Monday, $4M due end of the season. He won’t see this money. The text threats violate the NFL’s Domestic Violence Policy. He also has a $1.5M salary but will only be paid the one game he played.

He and his people will likely fight this, of course.

Who had the under at 2 games played?

What makes me mad about this was the fact Ben Roethlisberger kept his job.
Just saying.

I’m listening, but would be interested to see how those dots connect. Are you saying all of AB’s problems are Rapistberger’s fault?

where's all my AB cats at?

i seem to recall how a few of us were mocked about commenting on his unemployment status after his long and distinguished tenure with the Raiders came to a close...
I didn't even know who he was. I just couldn't stand all the toxic hate for him. Let the allegations play out before we throw him to the lions.

When this comes to its bad/sad conclusion I hope Rosenscum and Heitner and a few other enablers/leeches are at least exposed for what they are.

AB is an adult and we have no idea if he's actually mentally ill so he's responsible for his own actions but that doesn't absolve all of those that milked the gravy train for as long as they could as he obviously spiraled.

My comment AB ‘has serious mental health problems’ is by no means excusing his behavior.

AB almost certainly acted against the Pats and his legal teams instructions and was contacting his accusers. Once they aired him out it was over. The Pats decided to save some money instead of watching him sit on the commisioners exempt list and get stuck paying a player who can’t play but continues to dominate the news.

Kinda early for CTE to be presenting, no?
Wasn't too early for Aaron Hernandez. He was younger than AB when he started to show the signs. It was confirmed post mortem. I am not making excuses for the guy. Just seemed like his behavioral issues have exploded the last two years. Heard he was always different but ****. I just keep going back to those Burfict hits. Could just be a moron. Maybe Bi polar. Or just a POS. Who knows. If just a POS cudos to the Steelers for managing him successfully all these years.

Ah, forgot about Hernandez.

It's bull****, is what it is. CTE can only be confirmed in an autopsy, so of course everyone is going to hop on the CTE excuse bandwagon for every transgression committed by their favorite NFL'rs. No one seems to want to face the reality that a significant percentage of their favorite players are, in actuality, wretched, horrible people who, without athletic talent, would be in jail cells.
