Another Suttles update (admissions)

No rush necessary on Settles. He has to sit out this year, per transfer rules.

You want him out there learning, practicing and working out.
Everyone says he's a Nebraska transfer, but he's really straight out of high school. He needs to get immersed in The Cane Way of doing things.

Well he actually participated in spring camp at Nebraska so he's not coming in completely new to college, but I agree...The earlier he's in, the better.

He'd be like guys like Earl Little and Greg Olsen - guys that enrolled and participated in August practices but were able to transfer here and play right away.

We'll need updates on this Mustafaa kid as well.

Settles, Mustafaa, Gilbert, Derosier, Kalamu.

Not sure why, if he was thrown off the team, Settles has to sit out a season? I'm sure he could appeal or sue.

Of course, he can do both. As for filing suit, I'd tell him to save the filing fee. Busting a bottle over a teammate's head is a pretty good defense for tossin' him.
As for appealing, he has to first appeal the coach's decision to not grant a waiver to the school itself. [That is considered outside the athletic department.] If that fails, he can appeal to the NCAA. You can guess where that's gonna get him.
