Manny has to win the bowl game imo or at least not look hapless. If he wins out they’ll probably get a decent bowl vs a P5 team. If he gets blown out all the good will earned will be gone. Plus his recruiting class is weak right now. If we are gonna keep him around because he beat up on some middling ACC teams fold the program.

Plus if he stumbles the young freshman playing well could work against him. Get the right coach and this team could be really good into a couple seasons. Manny has shown his absolute max is 8-4 with all the right bounces.
 
Manny a couple years ago had the team make a little insignificant run in the middle of the season beating a ranked UVA, then getting a win on the road vs Pitt, blowing out Louisville and dominating FSU at Doak Campbell only to then lose to FIU, Duke, and LA tech.

Yeah it’s true now we have tvd instead of jarren Williams but that’s offset by our defense being far worse now with manny at the reins.

Winning out is a laughable notion.

Can’t wait until he’s gone.

The FSU game still concerns me, but I think we'll be fine. Something about the Travis V/S TVD thing. I just think Travis makes more mistakes, and maybe by a wide margin.

I do hope Manny lets TVD know it's a huge rivalry game and those can be tough. Might not be the week for BB material. Back in the day we let the other team talk leading up to the game, then did our talking during the game. I think this is the attitude to have going into FSU week.

We SHOULD be able to limit Travis. It’s just a gut feeling about this team I have.

I think a lose to fsu and being eliminated from the championship game would be enough to have him gone.

Brother, I would love this scenario to turn into Manny figures it out and becomes Dabo. I want Miami to work, to be successful. I cannot see that vision from my seat. If he stays and turns it around I will take my medicine. I will not hide, I will feel shame and sit in the box for 2.

Four games against awful teams...even he can win a couple of these. We are stuck with him for another underwhelming year barely beating awful teams and losing a few we shouldn’t. Probably hold on to his job until other ACC teams finally improve and give him more than 6 losses.

No ACC title....No Job....to me it's simple. Because winning streak aside, CMD coaching inadequacies is the only reason we "need" Pitt and UVA to lose a game. So if he doesn't get to the ACCCG even he "won out", he can look into the mirror and ask himself, "why did we hold TVD back, a 4* highly coveted player" that's been in the system 2 years. Coaching/Gameplanning to not lose or coaching scared etc is what he will have to live with after he finishes the year quite possibly on a 7 game win streak and still gets the can. He'll learn from it and hopefully get better when his next HC opportunity comes around

Randy Shannon did the same thing in his 3rd year, except he never lost to FIU.
 
Even if they get rid of Blake and bring in a new AD, I see him getting 1 more year. Not enough time between a Bowl game and getting the next recruiting class signed, plus any one we could pick up through the portal.
 
If he wins out, prepare to have him here next year. And they will probably extend him.
 
As long as we can get rid of Blake this year, it’s a win. The next guys can start working on replacing Manny.
