“Obviously Butch [Davis], Mario Cristobal, Greg Schiano [and] Rob Chudzinski” deserve interviews, former offensive lineman Joaquin Gonzalez said on WQAM. “The next hire does have to have some loyalty to the University of Miami, back when we were great. If we end up with an up-and-comer with no ties to the school, it’s going to be difficult to sell tickets.”

Joaquin endorsed Larry Coker. DIAF

He wants to be on someone's staff without having to put in the actual work to climb the ladder like guys like Dorsey have done. Looking for a shortcut to a job. The tire game must be getting old.

This is why they shouldn't be listening to players whose scope of coaching knowledge is limited to guys he's played under or coached at his school.

Herman/Strong etc coming in here and mowing down the ACC wouldn't sell tickets, but people would be knocking down the box office to watch Mario go 8-4?

Joaquin isn't dominating. You can't explain that.

This guy is worried about selling tickets? How about winning games? He thinks Mario or Chimp will put people in seats? I like Joaquin but he's dumber than I thought.

So you just stick to the things you know: shopping, nail polish, your father's BMW, and your poor, rich drunk mother in the Caribbean.
