Four of the top 20 rushers in the NFL are from South Florida (Freeman, Gore, Miller, Bernard). That number matches the entire SEC.

Six of the top 25 receivers in the NFL are from South Florida (Antonio Brown, Hilton, Cooper, John Brown, Hurns, Benjamin). That number also matches the entire SEC.

i think everyone knows by now that south florida is the spot Dontavious....preaching to the choir.

The key now is for Brother Richt to get the best ones to stay home.

Interesting that only one of the listed players even went to an SEC school.

I wonder if those numbers are actually down from earlier years when Miami was more dominant?

What about other position such as DL and OL?

Flowers, Linder and Franklin are all starting right now. If I'm not mistaken Feliciano is getting burn with the raiders. DT is a different story but there has been talented OL.

What we need is a coach that can purge all the non south florida players from the roster.

South of state road 70 or GTFO!!!1

If you built a DL of only South Florida players, you'd be killing folks. You could throw out a starting four of Geno Atkins, Corey Liuget, Olivier Vernon and Elvis Dumervil. Then you bring in Vince Wilfork, Jason Pierre-Paul, Jabaal Sheard and Pat Sims off the bench. That's lethal.

At offensive line, Marcus Gilbert, Orlando Franklin, Brandon Linder, Ereck Flowers and John Miller are all starters. Kevin Pamphille, Bobby Hart and Jon Feliciano got playing time. This position is trending up- Flowers, Miller, Hart and Feliciano are all rookies.

But, Kehoe can't coach...

Go Canes!

I like these stats posts. If you throw player names out there, they're even more interesting. Thanks. Would love to see how we're trending in OL, which seems better than other eras, as SoFla schools have moved to spread offenses.

4 of 5 CIS posters say "bro," btw. South Florida or not.

Exactly, cause some kids are just **** bent on leaving town. MR will recruit well out of state.
We still need to recruit nationally to be back to where we were before

Not only that, not every year down here we have a good DT or a OT, we even have some dead years at DE, those teams with jimmy and butch had a ton of kids that made a impact that we from all over the place

South Florida is starting to pump out OL.

There were four guys drafted last year and they have all played: Ereck Flowers (Norland), John Miller (Central), Jon Feliciano (Western) and Bobby Hart (STA).

The year before, there were three: Brandon Linder (STA), Kevin Pamphille (Central) and Demetrius Rhaney (Stranahan).

This year, assuming they go pro, there are couple guys off the top of my head who will get major interest: Denver Kirkland (Booker T) and Avery Young (Palm Beach Gardens).

OL is starting to be a position to get down south now, these last couple of cycles we had really good OL and this year not so much next year we have donaldson and the kid from AH that his name is escaping me, not as consistent as the skill guys but it looks like its starting to be one

Wow, just shows we need to keep the SF kids at home. Nice find.
