Another Decommit!

He maybe is the most fake UM fan I’ve ever heard talk that pretends to be a fan of the canes. It’s like pulling teeth, listening to him talk. Like I said, I’m glad he’s gone and I’ll start watching the show again now. I’ll say it till I’m blue in the face, his comments about our defensive line Last summer was the line in the sand for me! Any minuscule of respect I had in what he said, was lost that day. And let’s not forget, he never ate crow on his words because he’s a spoiled little punk!
Bro. Get a grip

Is he a nominee for the 2026 NicKane Sport of the Year Award?

that’s what makes it fun
Who is Ashley Freedland?
Student sideline reporter, she was the one that got trucked by Toney @VT. She seems close with the players, good on the ground presence. We already have another talking head with Mike Ryan, I think she could be a good presence to balance CIS. She does need to grow on video imo tho.

D$ is a company guy. He puts out the company line and propaganda. Pete always kept him honest. But, this is a business if you want to keep getting the support you need to keep the agenda first. Without Pete it is going to be completely BS podcast. No one wants to listen to flower and roses that is going to be boring as **** you want disagreement and discussion and diverse thoughts. We will see, everyone *****ing about money college sports ruining the game, this is what money does to a podcast!!

No D$ is a real fan and he gets carried away as real fans do bc he feels good about this team and program. Foh with that company man bs.. of course it’s not in his interests to **** on the program so a bunch of weird *** mopes can feel like he’s sticking it to the man . Doesn’t change the fact that D moneys fan takes come off genuine and not like he’s reading a script.

Pete provided a nice counter balance to the D$ sunshine pumping, but lately he has leaned too far into the contrarian persona. His not so subtle shots at Cam Ward were bizarre. I seriously wonder if Cam screwed his girlfriend or something. There were also moments where he got really emotional and stormed off of the show, so D$ showed a lot of patience in keeping him around for as long as he did.

The emotion and abruptly leaving the show was bizarre behavior. Agreed with D$ showing patience. I will miss Pete's devil's advocate persona, but the recent "objectivity" being shown by him felt more like an act of a troll.

All that said, wishing Peter the best of luck. For those that weren't here after this site was launched after the Canestime exodus, he was miles ahead of guys like Ferman when he was in high school bringing us all the recruiting scoop. He did a lot to make this a great community during an awful era of UM football, and it wouldn't be where it is now without him.

As somebody who has listened to 90% of the podcast shows over the last 15 months, I enjoyed Pete’s contrarian views. He kept it “real” when D$ would try and pump sunshine everyday. I didn’t always agree with him, but his views gave listeners a much more balanced perspective on state of the program and other teams. For example, D$ would argue that Baugh (the UiF RB) was garbage and Pete would immediately stop him and provide facts (statistics) showing that Baugh was a productive SEC RB. Again, a balanced perspective on our opponent.

I might be in the minority, but respectfully Steve Kim is not the answer as a permanent co-host. Steve’s walks down memory lane are occasionally great, but that’s not what I want to hear daily (and this comes from someone who attended the U during the glory days (1982-86). Would like to have somebody with access to insider information (recruiting, player development, coaching rumors, etc.), which is becoming scarce these days as D$ is too close to the program and can no longer provide the information most of us crave.

College football fans that watch enough football all know Baugh is a quality running back but I don’t give af he’s a Gator that got put on his *** 99% of the game against us. I want to hear D$ say he fckn sucks so I can laugh with him. That’s the point it’s ok to diss your rivals without the “ohhh no he would start on our team day 1” groupie bs.

I don’t give af about Jeremiah smith I don’t give a **** about Baugh, I don’t care how good Jordan love is I want to listen to a Canes site laugh and talk **** about how we kicked their asses without captain save a hoes chiming in every minute.

D$ said "it was time"
Ariz said it was his last show "with them"

I don't think Ariz decided to leave CIS on his own. The nice way to put it is he was likely told to explore new opportunities.

Maybe the folks at UM didn’t really appreciate all the things Pete says about recruiting, coaching searches and Cam Ward lol.. D$ does work for UM and we know Mario has been on and somewhat follows the show..

Hopefully that wasn't the case, but you never know. I still remember the gag order Al Golden placed on the team due to interactions with Peter. That was North Korea-type ****.

The Ward slander, however, was absurd. Anyone with half a brain knows his performance at UM eradicated the narrative that Mario Cristobal coached teams are where quarterbacks go to die. We don't land Carson Beck or Darian Mensah without him. That alone has significantly changed the trajectory of this program.

Love Peter like a brother but I think the daily show was limiting him. He has a lot of other interests in media and I will be right there with him.
Now that Pete has commented that he was let go after the show yesterday without knowing, can you provide more context on the direction you want to take CIS and why Pete wasn’t part of that vision?
