Bro. Get a gripHe maybe is the most fake UM fan I’ve ever heard talk that pretends to be a fan of the canes. It’s like pulling teeth, listening to him talk. Like I said, I’m glad he’s gone and I’ll start watching the show again now. I’ll say it till I’m blue in the face, his comments about our defensive line Last summer was the line in the sand for me! Any minuscule of respect I had in what he said, was lost that day. And let’s not forget, he never ate crow on his words because he’s a spoiled little punk!

Who is Ashley Freedland?that’s what makes it fun
Student sideline reporter, she was the one that got trucked by Toney @VT. She seems close with the players, good on the ground presence. We already have another talking head with Mike Ryan, I think she could be a good presence to balance CIS. She does need to grow on video imo tho.Who is Ashley Freedland?that’s what makes it fun
D$ is a company guy. He puts out the company line and propaganda. Pete always kept him honest. But, this is a business if you want to keep getting the support you need to keep the agenda first. Without Pete it is going to be completely BS podcast. No one wants to listen to flower and roses that is going to be boring as **** you want disagreement and discussion and diverse thoughts. We will see, everyone *****ing about money college sports ruining the game, this is what money does to a podcast!!
that’s what makes it fun
Pete provided a nice counter balance to the D$ sunshine pumping, but lately he has leaned too far into the contrarian persona. His not so subtle shots at Cam Ward were bizarre. I seriously wonder if Cam screwed his girlfriend or something. There were also moments where he got really emotional and stormed off of the show, so D$ showed a lot of patience in keeping him around for as long as he did.
As somebody who has listened to 90% of the podcast shows over the last 15 months, I enjoyed Pete’s contrarian views. He kept it “real” when D$ would try and pump sunshine everyday. I didn’t always agree with him, but his views gave listeners a much more balanced perspective on state of the program and other teams. For example, D$ would argue that Baugh (the UiF RB) was garbage and Pete would immediately stop him and provide facts (statistics) showing that Baugh was a productive SEC RB. Again, a balanced perspective on our opponent.
I might be in the minority, but respectfully Steve Kim is not the answer as a permanent co-host. Steve’s walks down memory lane are occasionally great, but that’s not what I want to hear daily (and this comes from someone who attended the U during the glory days (1982-86). Would like to have somebody with access to insider information (recruiting, player development, coaching rumors, etc.), which is becoming scarce these days as D$ is too close to the program and can no longer provide the information most of us crave.
D$ said "it was time"
Ariz said it was his last show "with them"
I don't think Ariz decided to leave CIS on his own. The nice way to put it is he was likely told to explore new opportunities.
Hopefully that wasn't the case, but you never know. I still remember the gag order Al Golden placed on the team due to interactions with Peter. That was North Korea-type ****.Maybe the folks at UM didn’t really appreciate all the things Pete says about recruiting, coaching searches and Cam Ward lol.. D$ does work for UM and we know Mario has been on and somewhat follows the show..
Now that Pete has commented that he was let go after the show yesterday without knowing, can you provide more context on the direction you want to take CIS and why Pete wasn’t part of that vision?Love Peter like a brother but I think the daily show was limiting him. He has a lot of other interests in media and I will be right there with him.
