Another Decommit!

As somebody who has listened to 90% of the podcast shows over the last 15 months, I enjoyed Pete’s contrarian views. He kept it “real” when D$ would try and pump sunshine everyday. I didn’t always agree with him, but his views gave listeners a much more balanced perspective on state of the program and other teams. For example, D$ would argue that Baugh (the UiF RB) was garbage and Pete would immediately stop him and provide facts (statistics) showing that Baugh was a productive SEC RB. Again, a balanced perspective on our opponent.

I might be in the minority, but respectfully Steve Kim is not the answer as a permanent co-host. Steve’s walks down memory lane are occasionally great, but that’s not what I want to hear daily (and this comes from someone who attended the U during the glory days (1982-86). Would like to have somebody with access to insider information (recruiting, player development, coaching rumors, etc.), which is becoming scarce these days as D$ is too close to the program and can no longer provide the information most of us crave.
This is what I was going to point to as well with the Baugh situation.

Well as long as its a CIS podcast, no info the program wants under wraps will get out no matter who it's coming from.

That is great news! So the guy that never even played the game of football but yet pretends to know more about football than anyone, will not be on the show sabotaging it anymore? Excellent and I can’t tell you how happy I am to hear that. Look forward to just hearing D money with some positivity and not being interrupted constantly by that punk Pete anymore. No need for another Partner either @DMoney , your show is just fine with you on it. Just like the Cane‘s connection shows.
What he said!

Steve Kim would crush

Let me clarify my statement.

Danny is affiliated with the program. He conducts player interviews on behalf of the University and is given unprecedented access. In many ways, he is like Christy Chirinos (the former Sun Sentinel writer who now works for the University). However, in return for this access, D$ is bound by certain rules and cannot freely share information that is not otherwise approved by the University. He has said so himself on the the podcast.

Pete was given limited access to the team as an official member of media. For example, Pete could stay for the first 45 minutes of practice but D$ would stay for the entire practice. Pete was not bound by the same rules of engagement.

If Pete wanted to share information about a certain recruit, player or coach, there was nothing stopping him from doing so other than potentially having his access restricted by the University. D$’s hands are tied to an extent. There are parameters. He can only share what Camron Ghorbi allows him to share.

I want somebody with access who is not part of State Media.
True enough but differing access etc doesn’t explain Ariz mopey camera looks, ******** around with his phone so he can’t follow the convo, his total cam ward misread etc.

D$ solo is way better but prefer a second guy with some differing views but not a dr negativo.

Pete provided a nice counter balance to the D$ sunshine pumping, but lately he has leaned too far into the contrarian persona. His not so subtle shots at Cam Ward were bizarre. I seriously wonder if Cam screwed his girlfriend or something. There were also moments where he got really emotional and stormed off of the show, so D$ showed a lot of patience in keeping him around for as long as he did.
Wait. Pete has a girlfriend?

Have you ever heard him talk on the show, he’s been anti Cane from the beginning! Remember, this is a dude that rooted for Canada hockey and the New York Knicks. What more needs to be said about this guy? I’m glad he’s gone.
Lol wait he rooted for the Canadian hockey team- like over the USA??? 😂 wtf!?

Well...actually that post is exactly what I would expect from Pete. He seems to be a very direct and to the point person. He just seems like a miserable person overall, just the comment alone of "I don't watch movies" was weird to me and showed someone that really can't relax and just have fun.
I agree with most here, this was clearly not his decision so when that happens you are not going to post some long farewell unless it's a negative, attacking one.
I was growing tired of him and found myself watching the show less and less. I would imagine DMoney saw the same in the comments and viewership data, especially if it shows if people watch the entire video or ending it early.
I just hope we don't get him replaced with the high school intern and instead do a rotating guest host each day similar to what Donno does.
I 100% stopped watching the show and that was saying a lot because it used to be my favorite show. I’m glad he’s gone and I will continue watching the show again now.

This is what I was going to point to as well with the Baugh situation.
D$ is a company guy. He puts out the company line and propaganda. Pete always kept him honest. But, this is a business if you want to keep getting the support you need to keep the agenda first. Without Pete it is going to be completely BS podcast. No one wants to listen to flower and roses that is going to be boring as **** you want disagreement and discussion and diverse thoughts. We will see, everyone *****ing about money college sports ruining the game, this is what money does to a podcast!!

I don’t watch the podcasts but that sounds like a Fonzi jumping over the shark tank moment for him.
He maybe is the most fake UM fan I’ve ever heard talk that pretends to be a fan of the canes. It’s like pulling teeth, listening to him talk. Like I said, I’m glad he’s gone and I’ll start watching the show again now. I’ll say it till I’m blue in the face, his comments about our defensive line Last summer was the line in the sand for me! Any minuscule of respect I had in what he said, was lost that day. And let’s not forget, he never ate crow on his words because he’s a spoiled little punk!
