Another Berrios thread...

This is also on the QB. He's been moping since the Pitt game. Rather than get his players riled up. This is BS and will stop once Perry takes over the reigns. We need a real leader at QB that's vocal.

You're basing that on what?

Add Deejay Dallas to the true Cane list. Kid is going to be a great leader for years to come. Same with Bandy. Same with Amari Carter.

Where are you getting this from? Those guys have played well this year, but that doesn't mean they are leaders. It's actually possible to be a good football player and not be a leader.

If we had a QB like Baker Mayfield... No one could stop us... No one, **** not having enough depth... If Rosier made this a competitive game we could have came out on top... I've seen teams with far less talent do more damage just by having a competent/competitive QB. People say the defense stunk it up, but the way I see it when you can't sustain a drive and constantly go 3 and out and have turnovers (offense) then you will lose. Do we roll with Nkosi in the BOWL game or wait till next year. I'd hate to take a loss in the bowl game due to the lack of good QB play!

So Perry is guaranteed to play well if Richt just puts him in?

Was at the game (ughh). Our seats were right behind the bench (about the 40yd line 5th row), and my son and I watched the Canes on the sidelines. Rosier, Thomas, Harley, etc. just sat on the bench all night like a bunch of mopes. Berrios paced the sidelines and kept coming back to the guys sitting trying to get them up and into the game, but they just sat there. In the 3rd quarter, he gave up trying to talk to them and stood off by himself. For the rest of the game he stood by himself on the sideline with his helmet, looking like he was dying to get back in, while the rest of the offensive skill players looked like they quit. At the end of the game he was kneeling on the sideline by himself- looked he wanted nothing to do with the other guys.

He is a true Cane. UM greatness was made by 2-3 star guys who came in and played over their heads. I would love to have a team of guys who play like Berrios.

wait 2 star?

Ni99a was well known around the recruiting circuit

Also u would give up talking to them too if your QB cant back it up and make throws

1st, wouldn't give up because QB can't make throws. Would give up if my teammates acted like they didn't care.

2nd, as far as stars, Berrios was a 4 star. I'm talking about the attitude he has. For every 4 star UM had in the past, we had twice as many Albert Bentleys, Bernard Clarks, and others who were lightly recruited but balled out at UM, and a lot of it was because of their toughness.

U dont know if JT4 and those guys will change, if BB8 transfered last year people would hate him cuz he did nothing his first 3 years. His last year he balled and those guys have time to ball there young and were down in the dumps. They knew they were outgunned its the same thing u see on the sideline when we beat ND they knew we had the talent edge over them.

Also I trust this staffs evals, these high rated kids earned there high rating.

Berrios is a great Cane.

Much like Santana Moss, he suffered from a huge drop early in his career (2014 FSU), but bounced back to become a big time player and leader.

Well, to be fair, Moss had more huge drops early in his career than Berrios ever did. And of course, Berrios doesn't have the open field shakes or top-end speed Moss had. But you get the idea.

Berrios was phenomenal this year. He absolutely demolished expectations, even for someone like me who believed in him and thought he had a chance to make some noise.

Sheeit, his celebrations alone (especially the UNC "U" and ND convict) moved him way up the list of greats in my eyes. But his performance against F$U, if nothing else, cements him in our legacy.

Gonna miss him. Wish he had one more left. Did EVERYTHING right.

We won't burn Perry's RS just to have him play in the bowl game. Absolutely not happening.

Hard to lead when you’re not that good.

Leaders need to typically be your better players.

you are a real POS. keyboard warrior at its finest. next year that young man will be making 5 times what you are and will end up a millionaire while you are still flipping burgers. you are breaking out in jealousy ..

Malik making $$$? if gaaddict lives under a bridge & panhandles and Malik has got a solid job set up then possibly Malik is making 5x but if you're insinuating that Malik is going to be in ANY [N,C,Euro,Semi-Pro]FL you are mistaken.

Berrios definitely cemented his legacy this year, hope he can close out his Miami career with a bowl win

But we have to, because we know he'll be great.

Read the surrounding posts The context is contrasting the leadership of berrios vs non leadership of malik

once again, the topic is titled "another Berrios thread". if someone besides you hijacked the thread and turned it into a leadership thread, they and you should start your own thread ... once again, Berrios will play in the show next year and you will still be hijacking threads

You can tell when you look at Rosier he is a deer in the headlights kind of guy. Thomas seems like a mop , he complains on twitter from what the board has said. Harley extremely disappointed to hear that about him.

I would take Berrios as special teams coach next year in a heartbeat. Smart, tough, and passionate. You have respect a guy that has literally always done what he set his mind to do.

//Kidding, but seriously...maybe...

Berrios will be an outstanding coach in 8-12 years after a nice career in the league

Berrios sets a great example and decided to be the “guy”

Props to Dmoney for sending his HS tape to the old staff
