Anonymous NFL scouts on Elijah Arroyo

He had less than 200 career yards before 2024 Can't really blame him
Nah I can.

If you're a NFL scout, you have only ONE job & one job only, it's to find & watch players for every draft, both current & upcoming.

You don't just scout for that one draft class, you scout years ahead of time & that's quite literally all they do.

Serious question here - and not to pry - but you ever consider taking a scouting gig? Your depth of knowledge at all levels is impressive, and if it's purely as a hobbyist, you may be missing your calling my friend.

I can't remember dude's handle on Twitter, one of those Devy analysis guys, but can vividly remember him hyping Arroyo up while he was still in high school. Maybe he's a scout now...

All the scouts said late first/early second, and posters are in here crying.
I get there are some dumb remarks ("not productive"), but their ratings of him are really high.

"I had never heard of him (before 2024),” a third scout said.

What do they even pay these scouts to do???

It's literally your JOB to know prospects.
Lmao, you beat me to it. I swear Dmoney throws in a few made up quotes to drive clicks.

Call me a homer, but I think he’s the best TE in the draft. Best combination of size, speed, fluidity, hands, physicality and character. Hope the Chiefs pick him.
You are a homer (thank you, and me too!) and you are right. Both things can be true.

Also, the production issue only exists because we have a QB and OC who believed that offense worked best when the ball was distributed to numerous receivers. A team with X, Arroyo, George, Brown, Horton, Martinez should distribute the ball to all the playmakers. Saying he was not productive reduces the issue to the number of catches/yards without examining the offense as a whole and understanding why.

That kind of myopic vision is what limits people in their career advancement. He is not seeing the forest for the trees
