I agree but prob never a shot with Mario and Alex once they saw this guys feet and lateral movement. This guy is their wet dream of a prospectI wish they would’ve pushed this kid into the DL.
He would’ve been a straight killer there.
And, wait till everyone gets to see Tinsler.I agree but prob never a shot with Mario and Alex once they saw this guys feet and lateral movement. This guy is their wet dream of a prospect
Pull, baby, pull. They are going to maul people at multiple levels. GT pulls with Cooper and Mauigoa? I’d make a business decisionAnd, wait till everyone gets to see Tinsler.
Radical change since enrolling last year
I want Samson to take LT, personally. We aren’t winning a championship this year anyway so give him the reps. Rivers can be the swing guy. Maybe a McCoy or Kinsler can break through for an IOL guy as our 7th. Not counting on Zion.The 2 issue for the Oline seem to be;
1. Can Rivers actually play well at tackle? It is clear the coaches love him but he was not great in the spring game
2. Depth. We know Samson can play, but who else do we have as reliable backups at any position?
Pretty sure as recently as last week people were still wondering if he could play DTThere will be alot of "How did Bama and Auburn let him get out of the state??" comments by the announcers over the next 2 years. This guy looks like he will be a stud. And to think idiots like me wanted him at DT! Lol.
I thought he resisted the move?
TBH, we need IOL as much as we need DTs, maybe even more so. He's a starter at OG. I doubt he would have started ahead of Taylor, Deen and JHH
I agree with you on Samson. And frankly this will probably happen because Rivers has cross trained at all the positions so he is the 1st backup guard and center and will be the first sub which will mean Samson steps in at tackle.I want Samson to take LT, personally. Last week there are posts in this thread.Pretty sure as recently as last week people were still wondering if he could play DT
I don’t want to get into too much hype and hyperbole but he was also doing it on the right side which has been frankly abysmal for usThis guy's the man. Loved him as a prospect. And, has done nothing but exceed his expectations through actual play. A handful of occasions last year, while still likely very out of shape, he'd simply wash out one side of the DL.
This a Cortez Kennedy level of transformation in body. Tez turned into a 1st round pick and, for my money, in the same conversation as Brown, Sapp, Maryland and Wilfork.
Or was it Russell Maryland who lost all the Weight? @SWFLCane help me out.
Where there is a will, there is a way.
I seem to recall a story about someone helping Cortez Kennedy with conditioning.It was Russell Maryland. Overweight kid from a Chicago high school who was only identified and recruited after another kid at his HS stiffed us.
While Tez transferred to UM from a Mississippi JuCo and may have not been in the best shape in HS, I don't think he arrived at UM in terrible condition.
