At the very least, maybe have just one Transfer Portal Mega Thread posted at the top of the recruiting forum.

Why would it be confusing? Just post it at the top of the recruiting forum with the other sticky posts and title it "Transfer Portal Megathread". Any and all transfer related news goes in there and it's in one easy place that doesn't muck up the recruiting forum.

That would be tougher to read with all updates going in one thread

I liked the sub-forum with threads for each position but of course some have to start their own thread for almost every name that enters Portal

I prefer the dedicated sub forum as well but I would rather one thread instead of it all blending with the recruiting forum.

This site is last bastion of freedom with have this country. Merging the forum was very communistic( is that a word?) for the people in charge here.

Ever since Dmoney split the WEZ from here, the higher up have been moving different. We plebian won't stand for it.

Give the portal forum or give us death.

I vote separate board. It’s so much easier to read both the Portal and Recruiting boards separately.

While the Portal might quiet down in a few weeks there will still be upticks with coaches leaving programs (e.g., Harbaugh to the NFL) and it will certainly heat back up again with the post-spring portal opening.

Keep it separate…just like the game day board.

The problem is a lot of people didn’t even know it existed. I got a lot of texts asking why there were no threads on Ward and Taulia.

It made sense when the Portal was hot, but it’s going to be a lot more narrow for the next couple months. Maybe we can reopen after spring.

The recruiting board looks so jumbled with both HS recruiting and Portal.

Agreed. Merged version is awful.

Especially considering I could only see one thread title at a time in between the 8659 ads that pop up, makes it harder now to find a thread since it's less organized.

It's confusing with them merged as everybody analyzes guys like Brashard Smith/Ward who normally would be in the regular football forum, but blended in and overtaking all of the recruiting talk

Agreed. There are other bs boards that sit around unused all year such as Purgetory so a month or so of dead time in the portal is fine for the better organization.

You also have the trending tab. If they couldn't use it maybe there should have been a memo. It's not that hard.
