Actually, the kicking game has been one of the few bright spots for this team for a significant part of the last 15 years. Return game, not so much. There have been some duds mixed in(Jake Wieclaw and Bubba Baxa should haunt our dreams), but it hasn't been the unmitigated disaster that you are portraying it as.

Miami has had multiple NFL players/**** good collegiate players come from the kicking room during this down period.

That's not a bad run, albeit there were some down times. Problem has been stringing together consistent runs. Then again, programs like Alabama and others have also struggled to consistently find top end guys. Outstanding kickers are worth their weight in gold, because they are extremely valuable, and there just aren't that many guys that can do it. It has hurt Miami more, mostly because thanks to less than optimal coaching and management, the program has been in a lot of close games, games that shouldn't have been close to begin with. So, if you have a shaky kicker, it's magnified. Therefore, it stands out a lot more when you have a guy like Bubba Baxa, compared to a school like Alabama, who has had multiple years of mediocre kickers, but they aren't called on often due to them consistently blowing teams out.
Meh. We’ve had good punters. Fewer good kickers. Amd we’ve also suffered through some atrocious punters. Overall our ST have not been good.

I'm not even exaggerating. He has 15 year NFL career abilities. For kickers it's all mental. If he has it between the ears we've another AA.

I’m concerned about these exploding balls. Will they injure a player? What if we run out of balls? Is this because of Covid? Is there a shot for this?
