Cincy plays Arizona, BYU, then TCU to end the year. Winning out would put them in the XII CCG against Texas Tech, and would boost Utah’s chances of making it to the playoffs.

Any loss does substantial damage to Utah’s best win. TT is 99% likely to be one of two teams in the XII-CCG; however, there could be a massive multi-team tiebreaker for their opponent. Of course with the XII having been running the committee show so far; this narrative has been nonexistent.

ASU, BYU, Houston, Utah, and Cincy can all end up with two conference losses by the end of the season.

If they beat UGA and lose close in the ACC-CCG; they will have a case over Vandy, Utah, UGA, etc. UGA game is more important than the ACC-CCG for them, imo. But they still control their own destiny just like us.
 
Baylor AD quitting cause he's a crackhead (or whatever), getting replaced in top job by SEC flunky, and getting replaced on committee by Utah AD, a team that's ranked ahead of us for no good reason, sounds super legit.

And yet when the ACC went to their replay review of the SMU fumble missed call, some idiot in the ACC headquarters forgot to call in and demand they call that **** what it was, a **** FUMBLE and protect the ONLY team that has made them look good, and keep their ACC team as high as possible in their rankings. The ACC looks so **** stupid, if the CFP doesn't have any representation.
 
This **** is bad for my health.

I’ve already gone through the heartache of losing the one (SMU) we couldn’t afford and I didn’t expect. The one that crushes dreams. Not just an L, but one of those Ls. The penalties, countless wtf moments, each less probable than the last. The creeping familiar feeling coming on that I hope against hope will finally pass this time. We’ll find a way.

And then we didn’t. Again.

I’ve already had to navigate that yearly ritual of avoiding all cfb shows and videos, hating the whole sport that had for weeks been so fun because we were in the mix. Just being totally sour at realizing we’re again relegated to a has-been. Blew another chance to make them all keep swallowing what they hate the most. It suddenly turned into every single person other than Miami fans loving it and saying they knew it was coming, and hating that they’re all right. Again.

Then laughing through tears at this board doing the various Russel Crowe calculi to get us back in it when I know **** well how that plays out.

Now here we are. I’m back. I see a real path to the promised land. The CFP. The FU money we’ve been missing for so long. Give this program back-to-back 10 win seasons, another first rounder or two, AND a playoff appearance? Sheeeit I’m starting to feel it again.

And all we have to do is win out.
