And Now This...Jameis 340 autographs

While I readily get the Cam Newton analogy, that was the $EC, plus times have changed, there is an alleged rapist in the mix, and the Fed's are now involved. All of that is going to make it difficult for FSU to sweep things under the rug.

p.s. Remember also that FSU is likely going to be sued by crablegs victim. All of their actions now are going to be dissected at trial.

FSU, a school committed to winning, something we desperately lack in Miami

Accepting money for a jersey or signature is bull****. I dont blame the kids for doing that. However, raping a girl, stealing, and jumping on a table and shouting profanities are not the way I would want to win anything.

I hope this is sarcastic. Yeah we suck right now and who knows what our administration really wants but for gods sake I'd be much prouder to say I'm a struggling canes fan that to say I support that joke of an institution down in Tallahassee. They've got an absolute clown running their offense and your *****ing about how they do it the right way unlike us.

Looking into how so many were authenticated by a single company? Shouldn't they be looking into whether their idiot QB signed so many for a payment?

FSU is looking into autographs made by redshirt sophomore QB Jameis Winston that were authenticated by James Spence Authentication, according to ESPN's Darren Rovell and Mark Schlabach.

This is the same company linked with Georgia running back Todd Gurley. ESPN's specifically states FSU is look into "how so many" autographs were authenticated by a single company. "ESPN has learned that after the team's 38-20 win Saturday against Syracuse, Fisher approached Winston and asked him if he signed autographs for money. Winston told Fisher, according to the source, that he did not," the duo writes. The report points out Gurley had 500 autographs certified, and 340 of Winston's appear on the company's website. Winston will face a school disciplinary hearing soon regarding last year's rape accusation.

not justifying anything he did but the school is keeping him on the field for a reason. we dismiss AQM for fighting his roommate....

From my cousin who is a Nole booster and gets a lot of inside info from some in the Warchant crowd:

Jameis is famous for signing, literally, hundreds of autographs for fans...especially at baseball games. There's videos of him doing so. Could he have taken money? Sure. Did he? No idea. The person who ratted gurley out and maybe jameis...he's a gator. Love it.

Please let him beat Notre Dame before you suspend him. that would be a nice win for the ACC

Only problem is that most if not all of it is numbered in sequential order and signed in the same spot.

The problem with entitled punks like him is there is no difference. If you can disobey one rule because you think it unfair of stupid, then who is to say other rules should be followed. Rapist has been exempt from all rules for years. Why should drugging some drunk girl and doing crap to her she let other dude anyway be wrong? That is the flaw in thinking everyone can judge which rules to follow.

FSU helped create this monster and JW knows he is untouchable. JW knows what FSU's athletic department did for him with the cooperation of the TPD during that sexual assault investigation and for every other indiscretion he has committed. That's why he was in uniform and on the sideline for the Clemson game because his infantile brain couldn't believe that the school would actually suspend him for vulgar comments when they didn't do anything about all his other indiscretions. In Jan 2013, FSU had the opportunity to do the right thing and they blew it. They showed what they value and it isn't protecting female students or enforcing a frickin student code of conduct. If the NCAA doesn't force FSU's hand in this then it's clear by thier previous actions that they will just ride out the PR storm and it will be business as usual.

not sure if serious. FSU does everything they can to win and UM doesn't. FSU has given this kid numerous chances and has missed one game. AQM at Miami a first time offender is kicked out of school. Bottom line is FSU sees the big picture and UM is too concerned about not ruffling any feathers and over penalizing a school money maker to send a message

AQM was not kicked out of school....

The coaches didn't kick AQM out of SChool, the Student Advisory did if im not mistaken... the coaches weren't goin to suspend hom or he miss any time. ... but Jimbo is a ******..he cares more about winning than doin whats right. ...u suspend him for yelling explicit stuff, but no for signing autographs and taking money??? FOH... They dnt have proof Gurley took money but they suspended him anyway

FSU sees the big picture? Their actions have led to a FEDERAL INVESTIGATION that made the front page of the Sunday edition of the New York Times. Their athletic officials are complicit with a police department in blocking a rape investigation.

Dude, no one wants Al Golden here anymore, and we all hope that the BOT directs us toward a great head coach, but you are absolutely stoned if you think anyone at UM will ever support those actions just to win football games.

I think you got us with this one.

to be fair, do u think AQM would be suspended if he was as good as JW on the field? AQM isn't even on the same level playing field in terms of importance to the team as JW is for FSU.

to ur main point: FSU is going to end up paying for the way they handled the JW situation (either w the Title 9 investigation or NCAA penalties). they have been crucified by the media and have completely destroyed any credibility they have with the public.
