And Now This...Jameis 340 autographs

same guy has authenticated Duke Johnson gear.

I took a quick look but there seemed to be the random signed helmet but everything else was just stuff sold in stores, like his No. 8 jersey. And a lot of the items on the list are even Duke's. Something from Duke University or someone with the name Johnson. Maybe I missed all the signed good stuff. If you take a look at Jameis' stuff, a lot of it has been signed by him. Seems like a big difference there but maybe someone here knows more about that site.

That's an eBay link. Not the authenticator.

OK, not sure all this stuff works. Never bought any of the stuff anyway. But my point was that there wasn't much of the stuff on that list that Duke actually signed. Maybe there's another list somewhere. Some of you guys know more about this stuff so how does it look for Duke. I saw a couple hours ago that had a list of signed items and Jameis had the most ahead of Hurley with 250 or so. Duke was on the list with 65 items.

Funny but the least offensive of his transgressions will likely be what brings him down...autographs.
Kinda like Capone getting pinched for tax evasion.

ESPN absolutely shredding FSU and Jimbo Fisher. Great to see them in the negative news.

Good grief, once again, it's not about the authenticator. The authenticator analyzes the autograph to make sure it is legitimate. If I get Duke to sign a jersey, I will send it to JSA. I've taken items to James Spence Jr. at memorabilia shows. They have nothing to do with this. Where you don't want to get caught is signing for the guy who sends all of these items to JSA in bulk. HE is the one who is paying players to sign for him.

This is not complex. You continue to lay out exactly what happens.

Like the first item listed on the ebay link for Duke Johnson. It is an autographed helmet. The description says it was obtained at a season ticket holder event and comes with a COA and matching holograms. Those will most likely come in one of two forms.

Possibility #1 The person had the helmet signed, then sent it to an authenticator, like JSA, to be authenticated -- JSA gives thumbs up, puts little sticker on it and sends back a letter and certificate.

Second possibility, the seller is a larger dealer/collector who provides his own COA/hologram. He is basically saying --- trust me, take my word for this, I have a proven track record and I stand behind that this autograph is legitimate.

The problem that Winston and Gurley are facing is the large number in sequential order. Whether or not Jameis signs hundreds of autographs after baseball games. That would assume, all those people paid JSA to authenticate the items, all at the same time. That is highly unlikely. Also highly unlikely, that someone is going to sit down and sign between 350-1000 items at one time for someone for free.

Should they be able to sell their own ****? - YES

Is it currently against the rules? - YES

Someone who gets paid to sign autographs doesn't need to steal crab legs.

Is Jameis really this stupid or are people out to get him?

The two have nothing to do with each other. He didn't steal crab legs due to a lack of money, he stole them because he has no moral sense and thinks he can do whatever he wants. A Heisman Trophy winner doesn't need to stand on a table and yell obscenities to get attention, but that didn't stop this clown show from doing that either.

Its pitiful to watch Jimbo go on ESPN and defend this kid. At this point, Jameis could shoot the Ebola virus out of a t-shirt cannon into a crowd of pre-schoolers and FSU would say that he is a humanitarian trying to strengthen America's immune system.

He didn't steal crab legs. He realized that stealing crab legs is a slap on the wrist. Getting them for free is an impermissible benefit that would be much more problematic for him and that **** show of a university. So he did the pragmatic thing and jumped on the grenade...or rather jumped on the Opilio.

They now have found 900 signed items from jameis for sale. Vegas has stopped taking bets on nd because they don't believe he will play

so if Winston is ruled ineligible by the NCAA, does every game Winston played in and continues to play in get taken away?

I always figured he took the crab legs on the understanding that he didn't have to pay for them, that the store gave players free food. I figured somebody who stopped him hadn't gotten the memo

True. New employee who hadn't learned the ropes yet.
