It's not really the 6-7 record, but the reality that it contributes to his realistic perception that Al Golden will be gone and UM will be going to hire a new coach. Not one could accuse FSU of negaive recruiting, etc., but he didn't want to deal with a new coach who may not like his running style, maybe

That and uncertainty. New coach means "rebuilding". Maybe it takes a year or maybe it takes three years. Kids are gonna factor that into their decision. Most RBs think they are "3 and done" caliber too.

That was a bit homer, but Rasul did mention depth charts.

And FSU does have a weaker depth chart. Cook would only be there 1 year if he isn't dismissed. Patrick is the power back, Pender hasn't done anything and would be a Senior, and the other guy is a HB/FB.

After what I've witnessed in Al's tenure, you would think he would be even more eager to come to Miami if Al was canned.

Just like all the "new wave" south Florida prima-donnas, he is using this as an excuse. Clearly, he is scared of competition. If he is scared, then I for one wouldn't want him on my team. If he can't continue to work hard and take advantage of his opportunity when it comes, then I still wouldn't have him. PLAIN AND SIMPLE.
 
that is the reason dexter williams flipped. tried to tell u guys. we want him gone but kids like him.

Bs, Al's seat was at an all time high when he committed, this was just a crap excuse.

If this was true he'd never committed in the first place .

Agreed. Seems like a reason to commit. Goldlipoli leaving guarantees some dopey coach won't run you up the middle 6 straight times until some fatazz DT falls on you and breaks your ankle.
