You’re crazy but I support youThis Mario man, it’s possible. I think we land them all but thats just me
This is my thought as well. It just seems impractical in the NIL age which to me is more akin to how a pro roster is assembled whereby you can’t overspend at one position. We do have the budget but we gotta know by now there’s zero chance any team is landing all 3 of those guys. Just from a playing time and WR perspective
There’s no way….
Right?
Unless you have Sears slotted in your defensive budget and have his primary role as CB, which I think it would be.This is my thought as well. It just seems impractical in the NIL age which to me is more akin to how a pro roster is assembled whereby you can’t overspend at one position.

DB is primary. HE wants to play both ways. If you want him, you give him that opportunity.I wasn’t sure if DB or WR is his primary postion.
I miss the days where you could promise a kid the world, then the second they got on campus you shove the D playbook into their chest and pack them off to the DB room.DB is primary. HE wants to play both ways. If you want him, you give him that opportunity.
FWIW I have no problem going after lower ranked guys who this staff identifies. Not a take. We need to get back to recruiting the Romeo Finleys, the Nigel Bethels, and Terrance Henleys. Pass on these 5* elite South Florida guys. I swear CIS ain't nothing but star whores Columbian Mafia *****.
Believe its called a 'Dirty Dabo' although also known as 'Sabans rule'.I miss the days where you could promise a kid the world, then the second they got on campus you shove the D playbook into their chest and pack them off to the DB room.![]()

That along with a dodgy bag and Transfers were so rare the kids just copped it...
We've always been pretty big on keeping our word. But I definitely get what you mean. First thing packing into the portal they don't get it exactly their way now. Honestly that's why I'm such a big fan of Samson & the way he's conducted himself. How many other 5 stars you see that just put their nose down and work. Results be damned. Now he's finally getting his spot and you can see that development in his game. Kids a beast now & hunts those pancakes. Most physical lineman we got as of now.I miss the days where you could promise a kid the world, then the second they got on campus you shove the D playbook into their chest and pack them off to the DB room.![]()
OT or OG if you had to make your call right now? We've always been pretty big on keeping our word. But I definitely get what you mean. I'd be content with him at either position but it just comes down to how you wanna set your line up. If it was me and seeing how physical he is combined with how much we run through our guards I put him at guard next to Jackson.OT or OG if you had to make your call right now?
Yeah, Ultimately I think it just ends up being whoever actually plays best at OT. We already know McCoy and Samson can start at Guard. I think Buchanan is starting level OG sooner than later. Meriwhether has been said to be able to play both OT and OG…I'd be content with him at either position but it just comes down to how you wanna set your line up. Actually when youre building a unit essentially from scratch this year as we are what's more important then their actual play is their communication and their style of play. Samson is a bully and fills the needs of a guard more than a tackle. For a guard style of play stands out far more than his level of play. When you have a kid also capable of dominance in his level of play that just makes it all the better. Samson when playing downhill is someone you have to account for. If I had to guess I'd say tackle opposite Jackson is probably merriwrather and if not him probably mccoy because that allows you to slide buchanon who I also believe is capable of starting as a freshman can start at guard. Tackle is far more difficult to play at a high level as a freshman.Yeah, Ultimately I think it just ends up being whoever actually plays best at OT. Really the priority is finding the best OT opposite Cantwell. Guard we will be fine at regardless imo. I don’t particularly care which guy wins it, but If I guessed today I’d guess it’ll be Samson actually.
I wonder about Meriweather. Why didn't he play that much for Georgia last year?Actually when youre building a unit essentially from scratch this year as we are what's more important then their actual play is their communication and their style of play.
