We were 10-0 with:

- rosier at qb, a guy who has heart but also a 56% completion percentage and not a lot of talent

- special teams that are probably somewhere near the worst in the country. Kick returns are awful and coverage is shaky. Punting is terrible. Penalties kill us from these units. Opposing kickers haven't missed once all year and we constantly hemorrhage field position because of special teams. It's real bad.

- our best player on offense and team mvp from last year, walton missed the whole year

- second best player on offense, Richards has been a non factor due to injuries most of the year.

This loss sucks and hurts but I'm not even that mad because we've still overachieved. This team plays to the competition so I wouldn't be surprised if we pull one out of our *** and beat clemson next week.

I agree this is the type of game at this stage of the year you feel like Mark Walton wills us to victory. Finds a way to make some crazy plays.

Yeah, if you think this game says anything about what will happen next week you haven't been paying attention all year.

Not to mention the most anemic 3rd down offense, especially 3rd and short, I’ve ever seen.

I definitely took extra time savoring each win this year because it felt like we were playing with house money.

Pretty Incredible actually.

No question. Undeniably frustrating nonetheless, nothing us fans can do to influence an outcome. Gotta turn it around.

Well if we are without Herndon, AR, JJ, and Young that certainly won't help. I think this game will tell us a lot about next week. We got very little push on DL and less than zero on OL. If you think all of a sudden think we r going to get push against Clemson's DL then you both haven't been paying attention. Clemson will do exactly what Pitt did today, make Malik beat them. Except Clemson's DL is better.

I'm gonna still go and enjoy the game next week, but not expecting a miracle.

You may be right, but my point was that you haven't really been able to predict much about this team. Only thing we've consistently done is play to the level of our opponents. The team that played UNC didn't have a prayer against ND, but that's not the team that showed up. I agree that today's level of play will get us blown out, but thus far we've gotten up for the big games.
