Am I alone by LMAO watching Duke cry

Man, on my mama I wish I could like this comment more. Three of my frat r HUGE Duke fans, and they all agreed that this was by far Coach K’s worst coaching job. To ur point, he was relying upon talent v. coaching. RJ was truly a momentum killer and Reddish got lost in the mix.

I told my my boys, the lack of a bench and lack of shooters will be your downfall. Ever Duke team had shooters: Whether it was Reddick, Dunleavy, Jay Will, Scheyer, Singler, Cook, Battier, Langdon, etc, etc, you knew you couldn’t leave someone open OR let someone go to the FT line. This team was all stars, no fundamentals and K just let them play AAU ball.

Exactly!!!!

You right about D-Rose... I should have used Penny Hardaway instead but you knew where I was going.. I feel you on D-Rose though.

Dude, don’t get me started about Penny, man. U’re absolutely right. Til this day, I’m one of the biggest Penny fans out there. As a kid, I almost cried when I found out his knees were shot. Til this day, we’ve been looking for the next Penny. It was supposed to be Shawn Livingston, but his career almost ended the same way.

You'll find at least one player on every team that had to be consoled deeply after losing in the tournament. The tears have nothing to do with entitlement. They are because they put a lot of effort into this and winning it all was their goal, of which they fell short. It's cool you despise Duke and you never want to see them win. Don't make up the BS you just posted to discredit the emotions kids feel after losing. Again, you don't like Duke that's cool. Jones never said that was their trophy and someone took it from them. Also, you mentioned he didn't play well, he understands that and is also prob why he took the lose so hard. Since when is showing emotion a tantrum. You act like he kicked over some chairs, threw water bottles, kicked the basketball in the stands and all that. The magnitude of the moment and loss hits everyone different.

Preach. I’ll be the first to tell u, I HAAAAAAATE Duke, but those tears from Tre Jones were real; just like in 2017, those tears from Malik Monk & D Fox were real. Just b/c these kids come in w hype and are put on a pedestal don’t mean these kids don’t love the game of basketball or come to these elite schools w/o the thought of winning a national championship. Matter of fact, most of them come together w the hope of killing two birds w one stone (easier path to NBA, and continue winning like they did in HS). These losses hurt and I’m sure when this dream team came together, they had no intent on losing.

Let's keep this civil. Listen everyone on EVERY team not just Duke or the 67 other teams that made the tournament put in a lot of effort and wanted to win it all.

That's what I mean by entitlement...you act as if only Duke's players had the championship as a goal or had reasons for being extremely disappointed.

Crying at midcourt for the amont of time he did qualifys to me as a tantrum. All tantrums are not the same. Some children hold their breath or roll on the floor. His over the top, extended, midcourt, poor me, made for TV epic crying fit qualified to me as a tantrum ...which I found very funny and self serving. At least the others who've lost had the dignity to do the vast majority of their crying in the locker room or elsewhere.

You're right I dont like Duke BB but Ive always respected them. His epic public center court crying fit for losing when they've had every advantage over their competitors generated little sympathy from me because as I said Ive seen players who've faced greater obstacles with more dignity. We'll never agree because we wanted different outcomes.

You want to feel sorry for someone feel sorry for me for not winning last week's Powerball Jackpot. I wanted it badly and worked hard to win it. I wanted to get my child a Lambo for the prom man!! I could've been buying my stuff by the truckloads! Dang it to **** man!!

Now if I had an EXTENDED crying fit in public for losing and had to be carried off becauseI felt entitled to have won...tell me that's wouldn't be childish, out of proportion and YES funny.

We all have disappointments in our lives some much worse than others no one is entitled to have everything thing. Yes we can cry for a while but have some dignity about it. .

We won't agree but we don't have to. Im not changing and I doubt you will ....so think whatever you wish...I will. Have a great day bye.

Facts; don’t tell em da truth though.

Honestly, Duke had the # 1 over player and # 1 SG, the # 2 overall player and # 1 ranked SF, the # 5 overall player and # 1 ranked PF. That’s equivalent to The Big 3 in Miami. This is by far the most disappointing lost in CBB, imo. The Fab 5 made it to The Finals and was a dumb TO away from winning. This squad didn’t even make it to The Final 4, and can’t nobody tell me Barrett didn’t have a little envy on that last play, trying to be the hero and get ppl talking about him again. Give it to Zion and get tf out the way.

These one and dones r not providing the returns. ****, even Duke’s 2015 championship had to be saved by a cat who was not a one and done, in Grayson Allen. Between Duke & Kentucky buying, I mean recruiting all these one and dones, K & Cal have a total of 2 championships in the last 15 yrs.

@mike804 The fck u doing on our site? lol. Get your Duke loving *** outta here. lol.

The only one here riding sacs is you. I'm stating facts and you get all butthurt about it. Fvck the Dookies. Most overrrated program and the fans are geeky *** pussies.

U had me until D Rose. Lol. D Rose was the # 2 PG in the nation and was completely bought & cheated for to get to Memphis. Cal worked his major magic w that one. Lol. But I feel u and agree
Coach K has two final fours in a decade , I was shocked hearing that.

You got to have shooters to win , they spread the floor for the super athletes. They need each other.

Coach K just rolled the ball out there and said go, literally no coaching. It was basically your local rec center type of o. Set some high screens or just throw in post.

said it before, but coach K really had an underwhelming year as a coach given the talent. also their lack of shooting was always going to hurt them.

Are you one of those Duke b-ball fans , Miami fball fans ?

Nothing makes me laugh harder than the blue blood b-ball fan that pulls for um football. You might as well get “ bandwagon rider” tatted on your forehead.
Nope. Love everything UM. Been “riding Dukes nuts” since I was 6. Around the same time I latched onto UM. I probably latched onto Duke first. I remember Lattiner, Hurley, and Hill. Earliest moments of UM I can remember is when Kenny Kelly joined UM. Not to mention I lived in North Carolina for a lil bit as a child.

Any more questions?
