Alonzo Highsmith AD and Butch Davis or Chuck Pagano as Head Coach. Let's Make it Happen!

This is a new idea I've never seen posted here in 15 other threads.

Well done.

I don't know why anybody would object to Highsmith for AD? I understand the objections/arguments against the suggested HC's. But going from Blake James to Highsmith is like going from Al Golden to Nick Saban.

Except Al Golden had experience. If Highsmith wants to be the AD then he needs to work in an athletic department first.

This is why the running joke on the Miami fanbase is that we live in the past. Stop with the Butch talk. What we need is for the AD to cash out on a OC that is going to bring in a spread system.

You can't fix stupid. That's all we've learned from this thread. Maybe, just maybe we deserve this crappy product, because we insist on hiring a "Miami Guy", and not moving past the eighties. I remember when opposing fans used to taunt Miami fans with "You guys still live in the eighties". I used to think they were full of crap, turns out they were right all along. This fanbase does live in the **** past, and it's slowly crippling the program, along with the incompetent athletic department staff.

Slick Willie gets fired this year, Manny "resigns" after 2021. Flake hires Willie. This is the kind of stupid **** we would do.

Has Highsmith ever been a AD?
You don't have to have experience in being an AD if you possess all the required ingredients. Knows football compared to James who knew nothing about it, known and respected name, has lots of connection in the NFL, knows coaches and assistants, and with his connections he can be a good fundraiser. Most of all he really cares about the football program.

Highsmith was in the front office of the Packers from 2012-2018 and a VP for the Browns since then. I can't speak to his job duties, but that does indicate he has executive experience.
