Still don't believe this is over.

Seasons over & most of the 2020 class has been signed.

Plenty of time to work out the details to hire Zo.

if and when both the coach and Ad are fired, Zo can come in and be the AD if he wants to do that job. i dont believe he actually wants to stay in college athletics for a long period of time anyways esp if the NFL came calling again. either way, no coach would coach here if he has to run ideas through another figure about his staff and recruiting. if we dont win 10, both are gone anyways
 
One more miserable upcoming season to get through and then by gawd these idiots need to be gone. Then finally, the correct hire can be made by a new, competent AD. Manny and company suck so freaking bad...

itd be better to get the football guy in there when the AD job is open though. hard to convince another coach to come in here and say u must every recruiting tactic and every staff position by me before you can hire the guy on your staff to run your stuff.

also, fwiw, i woudnt trust dave hyde for ****. he doenst have any real sources in there unless he spoke to Zo himself. dude still wanted to keep golden.
 
Looks like the insiders not named D$ were posting fake shxt about the Zo deal.

Motion for D$ and @Andrew to ban every fake insider.

Excellent post! This is all true. The only additional commentary I might add is - unlike most on CIS, I don't think it's a forgone conclusion that Manny fails. There are many indicators saying he lacks the skills and wisdom for the job, but at the same time, not looking at the intangibles (which are important) the D will be strong, we are fixing the kicking problem, punting is fixed, we have a strong OC with the right scheme and finally, this is the weakest schedule I've EVER seen in my lifetime and I remember watching Canes in the OB with a discount ticket from Burger King (true story).

Bottomline, in a way, we're in a win-win. If Manny wins, well, that's all we want anyway. If he loses, the BOT's is finally aware and cares and this will be Flake's undoing.

Zo would've shined too much in that role and exposed how incompetent BJ really is.
 
Doesn’t matter. He wasn’t going to fix anything this year anyways. Bring him in next year after we fire diaz and let him help pick the next coach.

Diaz and James SHOULD NOT be able to dictate ANYTHING with this on their resume.

3. We have not been able to properly evaluate players, or coach them, since the turn of the millenium

Surely a seasoned NFL scout would be able to assist in evaluating talent; we have to have one of the highest bust rates in America. Actually coaching them is another story.

In summary, we remain a joke while UF loads up.

Needed to be this way.

If Zo comes in now and saves the day, he also saves Blake's job. A year from now there is a very good chance we are, at minimum, looking at Zo as the GM of our football program and handling the entire hiring process of a new coach and staff. At most, he becomes the new AD.
