Was doing some thinking and I just remembered some of the great moments and performances by some men back in the days. Orange and green truly means a lot and is special.
I don't think Miami will ever be back until we start having players put the team on their back and take over a game. Doesn't have to be Sean Taylor vs FSU, just has to be something that puts us over the top even if its just for that one game. We need some guys to over achieve and to put on a big time show. I'm talking about career highs being broken or matched by a different player every game, or even the same player just repeatedly doing something amazing.
Things like:
-Having a WR just break a long TD off YAC
-RB making something happen out of nothing
-Kaaya doing something out of the norm like going beast mode and doing his best Ben Roethlisberger impression and going deep after breaking 2 tackles...
-One of our DT's turning into Vince Wilfork
-A CB/Safety with multiple INT's to include a pick 6, or a forced fumble like Jamal Carter did against FAU that pretty much ended the game.

But anyways, I think this is the year we start seeing those amazing plays come back.

What cane do you see making the first defining moment this year?

Grace creating a huge turnover against FSU. Momentum swing type turnover that Kaaya and crew turns to 7 fast and Richt steps on their neck.

Go Canes!

Can we turn this into who will have a huge performance against FSU? FSU is pretty early this year after all.
Having huge performances in any of the first 2 games literally doesn't matter at all.

When shaq lowers the boom on some unsuspecting fool announcing his presence to the football world

Sure! Kaaya who is sick and tired of all the crap written about him vs FSU goes crazy against the holes dropping a 50 burger by going 33-42 and 5 TDs in a 51-17 annihilation.

Yearby because we won't play anyone besides ASU early. We'll play it all close to the best and ride the running game as much as we can.

Richt likes his big backs so I'm going to go with Gus going beast mode this year.

I went with Coley who's already proven to have good games against FSU in the past.

Kaaya has had good games against the holes as well. He just didn't finish them off last year or the year before. He'll get his chance to redeem himself very soon.

Other - namely, Ahmmon Richards.

He'll go for 100+ easily with at least one if not 2+ TDs early in the year. I'd say first 3 games, almost for sure.

I went with Muhammad. (assuming he is not suspended). Brad shouldn't need to be the superstar the first 3 games, and it will be RB by committee. So the first breakout performance will come from the D line with sacks and tfl's

Think you've got a winner here..Finally got to look at his film and came away convienced that he's got jet packs in his shoes..If he gets any opening at all it's a touchdown..

and against the likes of FAMU, FAU, and App St. I expect he'll be getting open. I'm picturing him lining up against the #2 CBs (with the #1s on Coley) for those schools now and I think I like what I see.

Kaaya going off all season and shaq obviously will..that qb he killed in his highlight I predict he does to dalvin at some point in that game

Kaaya is a given, but I think Gus Edwards is going to earn carries in camp and dominate against weak Def the 1st three games.

The year before Golden called off the dogs at half time. It was so disappointing. For the first half they couldn't stop us, then the second half we came out with a completely different game plan and gave them a chance to get their confidence back and crawl their way back.

Staying focused on the question, I think Gus has the first big game. Probably drops 120+ and 2-3 touchdowns on FAMU. Walton and yearby probably sit pretty early.

Jenkins all the way. For our defense to be successful our safeties have to be on point. There will be more emphasis on on our back line than any other position this year. Play recognition has to become better from the safety position to stop the run and I think Jenkins shines if he is in good shape.
