Allison Makes a STATEMENT

JA isn't Miami QB material. Hopefull Richt has something up his sleeve bc outside of BK... we have nothing at QB

I can't wait to see Allison come in and ball in a couple of years. I'm gonna call all of you sofa experts out.

Allison was playing good competition without any D1 receivers. Even in high school, a pocket QB is dependent on the guys around him. Joe Flacco went 4-6 as a senior with middling passing numbers.

We will see what Allison is made of when he gets to the college level and competes with big time athletes. When he played with D-1 receivers on the 7v7 circuit, he was spectacular.

Was there any tackling in that 7 on 7 circuit?

Can you name for me a 4-5 star kid in HS who signed with a top tier school with paltry numbers such as those and still managed to do well?

Not sure how the bolded criteria are relevant. But there are a ton of QBs who put up paltry numbers in high school and did incredibly well at the college level.

Just looking at the top QBs this year, Connor Cook finished his senior year with a 58% completion percentage, 1,700 yards, 15 TDs and 7 INTs. Paxton Lynch put up a 51% completion percentage, 1,082 yards, 10 TDs and 10 INTs as a junior (his senior stats are not available).

I haven't seen Allison play a full game. That is the most important film to watch. But based on his highlights, he has the traits you look for. And coaches evaluate based on traits, not stats.

I haven't seen Allison in a game. That would tell us more than any stats.

But from a tools standpoint, his sophomore video is pretty eye-popping:
