Alleged Gators HC Short List

I'd guess the same, but without knowing NIL, staff budgets (etc), I can't really say what he's looking for. I don't know what Ole Miss currently offers.
I assume Ole Miss settles with a bigger deal for him or more guarantees.

I don’t want Lane at UF. He’d be a problem in the portal and we do compete on players.

Key seems like a good coach. There's so much going on at CFB programs nowadays that it is hard to predict.

Key and Clark Lea would be on just about any school's A-List, and yet even heavyweight programs aren't sure they can pull either of those coaches from their alma maters.

Kind of refreshing

CFB is getting hilarious. I wonder which "big time progrum" completely buckles under the financial strain.

One outside The South (thank goodness)

Most of the schools in this part of the country would demolish their libraries and sell the vacant land before they'd pull the plug on their football programs

My #1 Outsider perspective is that promises re: NIL are largely illusory and subject to change.

So, if a HC knows he has a good deal where he's at, and boosters follow through, I don't think the HC is going to readily bolt to a program that won't demonstrate the same.

This principle can be applied to staff acquisition/retention as well, but I think that's an easier one for the program to promise the budget.
