Alleged Gators HC Short List

Played ball in Hatisburg and grew up in Florida, I can tell you the locals in each stop claim their city is clearly better than the other
If he truly is in recovery then not money nor reputation nor resources will make any difference
And for anyone that has lost a relationship with a child and was lucky enough to rediscover that relationship- you wouldn’t trade it for any amount of money
Now I believe the family has already had this conversation and if the kids AND the ex wife want to come back to Florida then that would be the only reason he would leave
Again. Just my opinion

Kiffin would be a problem too, especially on the recruiting front.
2020: Ole Miss #39
2021: #17
2022: #25
2023: #27
2024: #22
2025: #16

Miss St. those same years:

2020: #26
2021: #29
2022: #26
2023: #26
2024: #32
2025: #22

Lane barely out recruited Miss St.

2024: 10-3 losses to Kentucky, LSU, and UF
2023: 11-2 losses to Alabama and UGA; but only ranked wins: LSU and Tulane
2022: 8-5 losses to unranked: Miss St., Texas Tech, Arkansas, and LSU; only one ranked win (vs Kentucky)
2021: 10-3 with only two ranked wins: vs Arkansas and A&M
2020: 5-5; first year at Ole Miss & COVID year but losses at unranked: Arkansas, Auburn, and LSU

I don't know what this board sees in Lane Kiffin as a head coach. And it sure as **** isn't his high school recruiting or BIG WINS. But since Ole Miss loves him, they will offer a huge extension to keep him.

Plugged in Gator pal (not one prone to their usual sunshine BS) claiming Brohm reached out today.

NGL -- they got way better options than Lane.

The comparison shouldn't really be Ole Miss v UF.

It should be LSU v UF.

Why would Lane take the UF job when the LSU job is set to open this yr or next. Lane is a hot proven commodity right now, he doesnt need to jump ship to UF, which is a team that is not winning rn. LSU can win now, they just aren't happy with Kelly.

Lsu way better move than UF for Lane.

Key is a really good coach, but he would be a terrible fit there, IMO. Their expectations and arrogance wouldn't have the patience for how he would build the program. Wisconsin should go after him once they've relieve Fickell from his misery.

Brohm will get himself a nice raise. Only way I could see him leaving is to get his brother the UL HC job

Key would be a problem. How quickly things change. Fist pounding state champs to stuck within a schematic disadvantage

Florida wants someone in there who is in the Kiffin mold and who can really revamp that offense and develop quarterbacks; Franklin and Key aren't that guy—can't see how and why they are on the list.

I think they aim for Kiffin and settle on Drink, at best.

Could see them landing nobody on this wish-list.

I could see Brohm at a Penn State.

He'd be a home run hire or Florida but can't see him dealing with Stricklin or leaving his alma mater for the Gators.

Al Golden would be a great hire for UF.
