No doubt about it: Triple Crown victory by Secretariat in 1973. Set two of the course records that still stand.

In the Belmont, the longest and final race, Secretariat went wire to wire for the largest margin of victory in a major race. The track announcer said it was 18-21 length victory. Others said it was 25+ lengths. Who knows?

Most dominant sports victory of all time!

Doesn't Secretariat have all 3 records?

I don’t think Owens’ win was improbable. He was the best athlete there. It’s probably the most impactful though.

Miracle on ice tho we were supposed to lose. So that’s probably the winner.

Honorable mention to our first national championship. Going against the “best team of all time” supposedly at the time.
