This is MIAMI, and unless the committee members hearts grow three sizes from all the Christmas cheer in the air, it ain't happening. What they're going to do to us tomorrow:

Go ahead and make your peace, but more importantly make plans for the poptart bowl.

**** off. I'm curious, what do you get out of this stupid crap? If Miami isn't selected, are you looking forward to saying "I told you so"? WTF do our "Fans" get out of rooting against the best interests of the program? We don't know what will happen, but Miami has a case as strong as anyone's, we have to hope it carries over. Period.

I'm hoping I am wrong, but I agree with Xio. Heather's reporting of the committee is pretty right on here. The committee hates miami. They have prayed for UM to knock themselves out, they were hoping this would result so it would be a moot point.

They were praying other teams wouldn't put them in this position either, a position that they would have make a choice.

But make no mistake about it, this is a decision that they will not shy away from, they will do it with Glee. They will get immense joy from ******** UM and they will have no hesitance or make no qualm about it.

In ways, they are probably glad they don't have to make a tougher decision about a team they hate far less than us, so they are much happier tonight about it than they ever dreamed.

I hope and pray I am wrong, but I know for a fact for the last 50+ years of being a Miami Hurricane fan, but make no mistake about it, I am almost positive this is where it's at.

The committee will F us and take pleasure. They’ll make up all the excuses in the world to keep us out. Miami beat ND. We are the better team. Alabama sucks ***. Even ND is better than them

College football sucks right now - whether or not Miami gets in tomorrow.

And if the Canes do get sent to Orlando again, I can't wait for the incisive commentary on here when they lose the bowl game rolling out Emory and a bunch of 2nd stringers.

Starting to see the late night spin from a lot of media outlets. Bama drops one spot, Miami out. Mannnnnnn…. I’ll try to enjoy the next 10 hours of sleep and hopelessly believing.

I wonder if in the end they just leave out the one who will throw less of a fit...

In that case it def wont be bama, and is likely us.

The path of least resistance would actually be leaving out Notre Dame. Leaving us out creates more public media backlash than leaving out Bama and you still have an angry P4 conference (albeit one that is going the way of the Ottoman Empire). I think most of the committee is convinced Notre Dame has to be in

In the end I think politics wins though and the SEC’s position is FAR stronger than the sick man of College Football (the ACC).

The path of least resistance is leaving out Bama. They got the chance to showcase their worthiness. Instead they **** the bed on national television. Most people agree Bama shouldn’t be punished for losing the sec championship. But they have to accountable for how awful they looked. And it was 2 weeks in a row where they looked bad. You cannot look that bad and only drop 1 spot. Someone else here noted that even the Bama alum on tv were saying Bama didn’t deserve to make the playoffs based on how poorly they played.

I think it’s the compromise path in terms of backlash. The public won’t care if a 5th SEC team is left out, but there will be some institutional pushback (both from Bama and the SEC).

When we’re left out i’m expecting swift condemnation from the media and the ACC will be “mad” ( while Jim Philips continues in in the witness protection program)

Nobody is rooting against the interest of the program. I've been on record saying we won't get in regardless of what happens. I've seen this corrupt **** happen in too many sports way too often.

Am I the first person to jump the table, pull my shirt off and chug german beer till it comes out of my ears? You best believe I will.

Does that mean that I honestly believe we'll get in? No. And it has nothing to do with us or our performance, it's other people controlling our fate.

Even Bama has to acknowledge they got embarrassed on a national stage. What do they think a conference championship game is? Just a friendly game of backyard football that doesn’t count?

CIS is full of cucks that look forward to being cucked and then like like to brag about it, and then also say I told you so.

OP and this thread prove it, and the last several days of porsts and threads prove it.

You people are all mentally ill and weak minded.

Here’s something. We’re not “rooting” for anything @Xio is pointing out the reality everyone’s been watching except the people plugging their ears. There’s a huge difference between wanting Miami to fail and acknowledging the hole we’re seemingly in that the committee is digging for us.

If Miami gets in, we’ll all be celebrating just like you. But calling out the obvious isn’t some victory lap, it’s making a logical conclusion based off of the committees actions and words regarding Miami.

Some of us can recognize the situation without needing to pretend everything is rainbows just to feel better. We all want the same outcome, we just don’t have to delude ourselves to get there.

Did you prefer it when Bama & UGA were hoarding the top talent for well over a decade? When a team like Indiana would have never had a chance to beat OSU for the B1G title? When we would have been rolling out Emory Williams the last couple of years instead of Cam & Beck? Or was it when computers determined the 2 teams playing for the BCS title? At no point in any other system used before the playoff would we have even had a realistic chance to play for the title after losing 2 games. Genuinely curious what you think sucks so much about CFB today compared to the last 20 years.
