Yeah i think it's not wise to not recruit Eduoard b/c Kaaya is going to get a lot of pressure to stay in-state from the UCLA fan base over there once his recruitment blows up even more during the season.... i'm not saying Kaaya is going to de-commit but you never know until NSD.... and you dont want to be stuck with just Malik Rosier as your only QB in this class. Even though i trust James Coley when it comes to QB evaluation.

We are hearing only one side of the story here and I think we should be careful not to draw conclusions. While I want the kid to do what's best for him and wish him best of luck, I find it hard to believe Golden will intentionally hurt this kid's future by leaving him hanging when he does not want him in this class. Golden appears to be smarter than to do this when he is trying hard to build relationships with high schools in South Florida. It does not strike me as the way Golden do business.

I agree.

Alin seems to be sincere as well considering he admits Louisville dropped his offer. Odd situation

Either way so many untrue stories comes out during recruiting (not saying this is one of them) because we only get one side and the school/coaches aren't allowed to comment on it.

Wish Alin the best, Cane or no Cane

If the school hasn't spoke to him in months, how'd he get invited to the BBQ? NOt saying they haven't cooled on him but I also think he is speaking with a bit of hyperbole.

Very good point, but I don't think Edouard would lie. Confusing situation.

I really hope the best for this kid
He has high character and has held on to
His commitment

What ever happens I just hope he ends up at a good school if its not UM

A lot of schools have locked up their QB and it would suck to get dropped this late

We don't know everything but I would get firm resolution

Remember when Alin committed.. His commitment never really seemed like a commitment as much as it did a reservation. He was still openly considering the like of Louisville, UF, etc. Soo as he looked around, so did UM. And the rest is history.... I would like to have Alin in this class. Hopefully whatever the problem is, gets worked out on Sunday.

SIDENOTE: I really hope UM is showing Flowers some love too.... IMO, Flowers>Alin>Rosier

This may have been a case where a kid played around too much with his recruitment. Al ain't having that after last years debacle.

The O of L scholarship that went to a dlinemen, went to 2014 DT Chris Nelson from Lakeland, FL who had interest and decommitted from UVA then UM slow played him and U of L along with Neb came into the picture recently so he jumped on the U of L offer. So there is even a little UM flavor to Alin's being dropped by U or L.

Not for nothing but if this kid wants to play QB in a spread set he should give Syracuse a call, playing in the dome and an turf he would be sick. But I am hoping he sticks with UM because I think Rosier flips to Bama or Auburn late even if it just as a preferred walk on.

Go Canes!

this ******* guy......SMH

  • Says he hasn't talked to any Miami coaches the past few months
  • Will be at the BBQ Sunday to talk to the coaches
  • Says he's willing to stay with Miami but if things aren't looking too good then that's life
  • Says he's looking for a resolution because he wants to end the recruiting process early
  • USF, Tennessee, Cincinnati, and Louisville are after him the hardest
  • Says Louisville told him to back off a little bit since they rescinded his offer and gave it to a DL
  • Says he likes Louisville and talks to Bridgewater
  • Says he hopes to lead the T-breds to the playoffs this season

I thought he should have ended the recruitment process when he committed to us.

Good luck kid

This kid is a joke.

Why can't another option be that he talks to the coaches, he reaffirms his commitment and the coaches continue to tell him they want him?
I too suspect maybe this was a case of the kid ******** around w his re recruitment early on and is now getting scared.

lets hope kaaya doesnt go to ucla down the road. we have to be careful what alin says sometimes becuase last time he said he hadnt spoken to the staff, he had a twitter convo a free days prior with coley.

BK isn't going anywhere.

I'm of the belief that instead of making a kid read tea leaves about his status, the coaches, as adults should make it clear to him what it is. We're knocking a 17 year old for "playing" and meanwhile giving a pass to 40+ year old men for ignoring the kid and not telling him either way what his status is.

Explain that he was vouched for a by a coach who is no longer on the staff, and the new OC wants to see his Sr. season before he decides to reaffirm the offer if that's what the case is. Or be up front that UM wants to go in a different direction and that he should decommit and explore his other options. But you can't give the reasons kid to be unsure about his status and then kill him for wavering.

this kid has taken to the media, knowing full well Miami can't comment on his status. At this point, I'd take everything he says with a grain of salt. Kid has been the least committed commitment I can remember

not trying to call out anyone's character but unless u know him personally, u just dont know whats true and what isnt. the staff couldve talked to him but he may have felt the convos werent great and made him feel ignored

ya dont worry bout kaaya. dudes been recruiting for us like crazy with his mom. him, kc, and a couple others seem to be the strongest commitments

not being hard on the kid, but just DE commit already. recruiting is a dirty game on both ends... coaches need to just tell him it was good while it lasted
