Alabama's Ty Simpson signs paperwork to officially enter 2026 NFL Draft

He can still withdraw prior to the deadline to remove yourself from the draft.

This one is over when the deadline comes for -
+ Spring enrollment at Miami (01/21)
+ Draft withdrawal deadline (02/07)

Obviously waiting until February means that he’s not participating in Spring practice.

Underclassmen have 72 hours after deadline tomorrow to withdraw name

I understand we're in a national title run but in general when it comes to the portal we have no sense of urgency. But in Mario we trust pull another rabbit out the hat

That's what I'm saying. Apparently, he looks decent in practice but come gametime he looks trash.

Yelling Figure It Out GIF by Barstool Sports
Lots of guys look great in practice where there’s no real pressure then crumble when the lights come on. I don’t even think that’s the case with Emory he showed a lot of heart when thrown into the fire in 23 the kid is just not talented enough to be a good QB at the P4 level. Now he can improve & prove everybody wrong someday but his best bet is to cut his teeth at the G5 level it’s not happening here

Dereon Coleman come on down..
Apparently he has the talent but is very undersized currently. They'd need to throw him on test, deca, dbol and tren ace, then have him eating 6-7k calories daily, lifting 4-5 hours per day the entirety of the spring and then he'd be ready imo.

This is for all the “the portal is the only way to for QBs” crowd
Yep. I got a lot of negativity for saying it’s a dangerous game. People thought there’s no way this staff drops the ball on this one. They still might pull a rabbit of their hat, but not many options out there now. Qb recruiting has been horrendous under this staff. That and linebacker has been bad. Really makes no sense

East Carolina wants Emory ... apparently.
That would be a way better situation for him.. he can gain some valuable experience and confidence to work his way back up to this level. But having him as your QB after a championship run is a recipe for disaster and I’m sure our coach’s know that already.

from an optimistic standpoint...that's 6.5 mil to go land Seaton and Damon Wilson and either ride with what we got or pay 3 mil for cj Bailey

Thanks for the correction, you are correct.

I thought kids had until 01/27 (or 72hrs after the list is published to teams) to withdraw and retain eligibility

I don’t know when the list will be published this year.
