Alabama Love MEGA THREAD

The most impressive thing to me is that they would allow Saban to pass the Bear in Nattys if they keep him. I believe they are tied at six apiece now? That would show me how serious Alabama is about football. I always felt that ND kneecapped Holtz when he got close to Rockne in wins, among other reasons. Bama doesnt have an issue with it. Money talks.

Lol when you're financially stable because you've been paid the last 3 years and seen as a God in the town you don't mind staying

Notice when Smith is torching OSU he’s not going crazy with celebrating like Pope when he holds on for dear life with an 8 yard hitch.

no cheesy *** TD rings or chains. No gimmicks just flat out *** kickings. It’s starts with Saban. Saban is a maniac and demands greatness. I know multiple people who played for him and they said he is basically a lunatic when it comes to winning but they all love him. It’s just different down in Tuscaloosa.

our fans are just as bad.. every year, we got half the fans defending these junior jumpers or G15, claiming they have nothing to prove, and we don't pay their bills, etc.... yet.... BAMA......

not blaming our fans for anything related to the program.. just pointing out our non-winning culture has even infected our fan base.....

I had an argument with a guy named TJ Slaughter on the FB fan page, he called me an idiot and posted our conversation so I have no problem calling him out. During the bowl game, Philips was posting he was out with his girlfriend to have a late lunch and went golfing. He made it appear that he wasn't even watching the bowl game to support his team. This guy said that he had no obligations to watch any game because he declared and basically he needs to spend time with family. And I said that's what's wrong with our players. He had just made a video saying these guys were his brothers, and they just got curb stomped by UNC, you would think he would be hyped about Miami playing well in the bowl game. To which he again said he doesn't owe anyone anything.

Blah, blah, blah. Saban is the GOAT but he's made helpful by have the entire NCAA in his pocket and work FOR him.

I think Saban is the goat but I think even Bama put forces behind him (money sec network) that changed the narrative of college football. You really have to beat them with cash. Bama got an assist from tv networks. Before Saban, they hired **** coaches too. it's not just him.

If you're going to get them, season opener after a title is probably the best time, IMO. They could be a little rusty, a little entitled, who knows. They aren't robots. For me, just competing or making some kind of game out of it would be fine.

What I won't be doing is going to a party or some other gathering for the game. I want to be able to just turn the TV off and quickly pivot to doing something else in case things go south fast.

Where do you think culture comes from, if not the Hc?

Miami isn’t remotely serious in any respect compared to Alabama.
You think that anybody can compete other than Clemson and a lesser extent Ohio State and Oklahoma? As long as you can hire former HCs at will as analysts and GA staffs unlimited then there will be little parity in college football. Plus, the NCAA does token enforcement. Boosters and money is the worse it has ever been.

Blah blah blah. So many hot takes, most of them wrong. All this bull about Bama's AD, shows how little people know. It all starts with Bama's boosters.

Bama's football program is basically a professional organization at this point, something different than has been seen in college football, and every year they stride out further away from the norm, further from the rest of the pack.

If you want to admire an aberration, go on ahead.
100% spot on. Mediocre state university which is embarrassing enough. The rest of the athletic department is average. Golf is usually very good, gymnastics as well. Basketball, baseball not so much.
