if CMR needs an analyst to tell him his plays are old antiquated and aren't working, then why we paying him 4 million
**** Aranada told him he doesn't even use the middle of the field and he still avoids it like the plague

well we have a wife on staff as a hydration specialist and possibly the most un qualified qb coach in the ACC so were throwing around money too, just not in the right direction

What Saban does though is know what his strengths are, and what his weaknesses are, and goes out and finds guys who can help him with his weaknesses. Yes, it helps to have the whole state legislature of Alabama funding your operation. But make no bones about it, it is Saban who calls the shots on that football team. He is God in Bama country. It is he who makes sure all bases are covered when it comes to recruiting, offense, defense, and special teams. He is the ultimate CEO for a college football team. That is what we need from Richt, albeit with a tighter budget.

Lol @ people in this thread discrediting Saban, while we have a "head coach" who gets outschemed consistently. Saban would/could run circles around Richt when it comes to football strategy and game planning. If you think otherwise, you have an IQ below 70 or you're f-ucking blind.

There's nothing wrong with that. He's winning. Just don't tell me he's some kind of coaching savant. He's not. He wins because he has the best players every year. He does a great job of making sure he always has the best players on his team. There's literally dozens of coaches who could win with Alabama's talent. Whether or not those coaches could keep recruiting at that level is a different story though.

Saban could’ve won one at Michigan State had he stayed
