For once we have a coach that isn't willing to let go of his coordinators the minute things seem bad. The past 10+ years the instability here has been horrendous because we had moronic coaches that listened to everything the media and fans had to say, who don't know anything about coaching nor our philosophy. I respect the fact Golden is trying his hardest to right this ship and has enough confidence in himself and his staff that will keep us going in the right direction. Having stability will allow our players to feel more and more comfortable in our system as the years go on. Right now we have seniors (who are mostly garbage to begin with) that understand the philosophy just as much as our sophomores, that's a big problem. Eventually we won't have to depend on 75% of players who don't fully grasp the system because they're too young.
Must of you don't understand we are still in the beginning stages of being "back". Al Golden has alluded to that like 50 times this year. Al Golden had to rebuild our program from the ground up after the mess Shannon left behind and then to compound that he had to deal with the NCAA. As a team, we've endure a lot and the fact after JUST 3 years we're going for double digit wins is impressive. It took the great Butch Davis 5 years to get to that point and he didn't have to deal with half the **** Golden has.
Right now isn't the time to start firing anyone. You guys can't say we are underachieving because whether you want to admit it or not, we only have a handful of talented players on this team atm. When we have a team loaded with talent and consistently underachieve like FSU has the past 3-4 years, then it's time to fire people. But right now, there's no point. All it's gonna do is set us back once again.
